Betrayed by My Fiancé & Half‑Sister, My Twins Ruin Their Wedding
Chapter 4
The wedding venue dripped in opulence, every seat filled with Manchester’s elite—including a handful of entertainment-industry heavyweights. Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Stephen Palmer and Alice Wilson recited their vows with breathless passion, seconds away from exchanging rings.
Then, without warning, the giant screen meant for their wedding photos went black. The wedding march cut out mid-note, plunging the room into stunned silence.
"What’s going on?" Alice frowned, irritation sharpening her voice as she shot a look at the staff.
The screen flickered back to life—and there was Alice, caught on video in a compromising situation with Mr. Green. Lewd comments blasted through the speakers, sending a shockwave through the guests.
"Isn’t that the bride?" someone shouted, and the room erupted into chaos and disbelief.
"Oh my God! Who’s the guy? Surely not Mr. Palmer!"
"Was Alice cheating before the wedding? And Stephen thinks she’s loyal!" The whispers snowballed, throwing the ceremony into complete disarray.
Stephen stared at the screen. His face darkened with rage as he grabbed Alice’s arm and demanded answers.
"What the hell is this? You’ve been fooling around behind my back with another man!" he accused.
Alice trembled. She had never imagined Mr. Green would record them. Frantically, she tried to explain.
"It’s not me! Stephen, you have to believe me!"
"Look at the rose tattoo on her shoulder—it matches the one in the video!" someone called out loudly.
Alice quickly covered the tattoo, and the gesture only fueled Stephen’s fury.
"How am I supposed to believe you now?"
Stephen’s parents frowned and turned to Mr. Wilson and Lila Dawson.
"What’s going on here?"
"Shut it down—now!" Mr. Wilson ordered the staff.
Despite her panic, Lila kept her composure intact. "This is surely a misunderstanding. Everyone, calm down. Dear in-laws, please don’t upset yourselves. Someone’s trying to sabotage us—the same old trick. I assure you my daughter would never disgrace our family."
Staff scrambled to fix the situation, but the video kept playing, growing more damning by the second.
Just as Alice was about to break into tears, a pair of adorable kids appeared, hand in hand, heading straight for her.
"Mommy! What are you doing here?" Aurora Wilson asked, clutching Alice’s wedding dress and gazing up at her with innocent curiosity.
The crowd gasped, jaws dropping.
Could it be that star Alice Wilson hadn’t only cheated before marriage—she already had children? And the real question hung in the air: were the kids Stephen’s, or someone else’s?
Panicking, Alice shoved Aurora away with disgust. "Stop calling me that! Who’s your mommy? Go away!"
Caught off guard by the force, Aurora stumbled toward a nearby pillar. Quick on his feet, Cesar Wilson caught her as they both fell to the ground; when they stood again, they exchanged sly glances.
Aurora’s lip quivered, and she burst into loud sobs. "Mommy, you don’t want me and brother anymore? Are you leaving us for a richer daddy?"
Her tears flowed freely, drawing sympathy from the crowd—and their sympathy quickly morphed into outrage at Alice.
"Unbelievable! She’d toss aside her own kids just to marry into wealth—what kind of heartless woman does that?"
"Exactly! The Palmer family is prestigious—how could they accept such a venomous woman?"
Stephen’s face paled, then darkened with anger.
To think Alice had not only been unfaithful but had children who had now crashed the wedding! Stephen’s reputation—and the entire Palmer family’s—was in tatters.
"Alice Wilson! Did you do this on purpose?" Stephen roared, his rage boiling over as he shoved Alice to the ground and kicked her furiously, hungry for retribution.
Mr. Wilson and Lila rushed to intervene, and the scene descended into chaos.
Seeing their plan had worked, Cesar discreetly pulled Aurora away from the venue.
Elsie Wilson jumped out of a cab and dashed into the hall, oblivious to the chaos, her anxious eyes scanning for her children.
Mr. Wilson hauled Alice to her feet, shielding her from further harm. "We need to talk this over. Many people in Manchester would love to tear our families apart. Don’t let them make a mockery of us!"
Stephen’s parents, though furious, began to regain their composure. "Yes, Stephen, don’t be rash. There must be an explanation—don’t accuse Alice without cause."
Stephen’s father patted his back, urging him to calm down.
"I didn’t cheat on you, and I don’t know those kids. You have to trust me!" Alice pleaded, her makeup smudged and her carefully styled hair in disarray—every trace of dignity gone.
Then her gaze locked on a familiar yet foreign face, and she screamed, "Elsie Wilson! Stop right there!"
The girl’s appearance had changed so drastically that Alice almost didn’t recognize her at first glance.
Seeing no sign of her children at the wedding, Elsie was about to call them when security escorted her to the stage.
"Let me go! I can walk myself."
Elsie shook them off, glaring at the guards before straightening herself and walking forward.
"I knew you were behind this! It had to be you!" Alice accused, lunging at Elsie with her hand raised to strike.
But Elsie caught Alice’s wrist and, with a sharp twist, sent her stumbling backward. Her high heel caught on her gown, and she fell to the floor. Her chin—surgically enhanced months ago—was now crooked.
The crowd erupted in laughter at her humiliation.
Lila hurried to help Alice up, discreetly covering her chin with a handkerchief to shield her from further embarrassment.
"Elsie, today is your sister’s wedding. If you don’t come to congratulate her, you shouldn’t sabotage it either. What are you up to?" Lila reproached.
It was then Elsie noticed the video playing on the screen and guessed it was her crafty son’s handiwork. A cold smile curled her lips.
"Sister? My mother only had me—never any sister."
"How dare you mention your mother! If not for you, she wouldn’t have jumped!" Mr. Wilson barked, his face darkening with anger.
"If my mom hadn’t died, would you have married this woman? I suspect my mom didn’t commit suicide—she was driven to it by you!" Elsie retorted coldly, her icy gaze fixed on her father, probing for the truth.
Gasps erupted once more from the audience, turning the venue into a feeding frenzy of scandalous gossip.
