Chapter 3

Now I started everything over again. I never want to be half-entangled with him again.

When Aldrich heard what I said, his face instantly turned cold.

He then asked me, “Then why did you come over today? Isn't it because you can't let go of me and want me to look at you? Let me tell you, from beginning to end, the only person I want to marry is Vivianna, Rebecca. I can give you a chance to stay by my side for the sake of our previous relationship. Since you don't cherish it, don't come begging me in the future!”

I was still silent. Meanwhile, he kept staring at me intently.

“Look at how you look now, Rebecca. Who else would want you besides me?”

I wrinkled my eyebrows and was about to speak. Unfortunately, Vivianna came from behind me. She gently took Aldrich's arm.

“Didn't Ms. Rebecca come over to congratulate us on our engagement? You're not giving me a red envelope?”

Looking at her expression, she was about to go crazy with anger. But she still had to hold on and pretend to be gentle and virtuous. I couldn't help but laugh a little.

“Red envelope? I'm just passing by, Ms. Vivianna. I didn't take any cash. I'll transfer the money to the group later.”

After saying that, I drank the juice in the cup. The sound of laughter came from the side.

“You haven't taken any cash yet? Why don’t you just directly say come over to rub rice not on the line?”

“That’s right. It’s only our Mr. Aldrich, who is generous and can still tolerate you until now.  You're really thick-skinned, Rebecca.”

“Are you so poor that you can't even afford to eat? How about you accompany me for one night and I'll give you two thousand dollars?”

Vivianna turned her head. Her gaze was full of sarcasm.

“Don't say that, guys. After all, we are classmates. If Ms. Rebecca really has no money, it's okay, right? We can have a meal together. Just treat it as a gathering.”

Viviana stared at me intently. “Why don't I introduce you to the Forrester family as a nanny? For the sake of classmates, I'll give you an extra two hundred a month. You'll wash my underwear and panties or something for me. The work isn't tiring.”

I lowered my head and busied myself with sending messages to urge them on. I was too lazy to reply to them.

Vivianna's lapdog couldn't help it and opened her mouth to shout, “What kind of innocence are you pretending? You've been reduced to begging for food at Mr. Aldrich's place! Ms. Vivianna is kind enough to take you in, but you're still shameless!”

“That's right, washing clothes for Ms. Vivianna is also your good fortune. Other people can't even beg for it!”

Aldrich also tightened his brows. He was still looking at me.

“Rebecca, don't be ungrateful.”

I lost my patience at this time. I casually waved my hand.

“I said no. Please, don't bother me.”

Aldrich replied, “If you don't accept the toast, you will be punished.”

After saying that, he signalled the person next to him to open a bottle of wine. He set it in front of me.

“Drink it, Rebecca. You will be allowed to have a free meal here today.”

I refused and said, “I can't drink at all. I'm not feeling well.”

As the words fell, he pinched my collar and forced himself close to my ear. With a voice that only we could hear, he said, “Are you trying to escape, huh? Rebecca, don't challenge my patience!”

I pushed that person away. My face turned completely cold at this moment.

“Aldrich, this hotel is not yours. I can pay for my meal here. So, don't go too far!”

However, he still ignored my words. He motioned to someone else to hold me down. He was ready to take the wine and pour it into my mouth. I instantly reddened with anxiety.

“No, please don’t act like this. I said I can't drink, right? I'm pregnant now.”

As soon as the words left my mouth, there was silence around me for a split second. It turned into a huge eruption of jeers.

“No wonder you couldn't look at Mr. Aldrich's driver just now, so it's because you've fallen for big money!”

“Rebecca, why are you still pretending to be noble when you're someone's mistress? Mr. Aldrich let you drink to give you a face. Stop acting. It’s enough.”

“You are pregnant before marriage, Rebecca. But you still have the nerve to hook up with Mr. Aldrich? Do you want to be shameless? If I were you, I would hide my face in my crotch when I go out.”

Aldrich's face was gloomy. His brows also were tightly knitted.

“Who is the father, Rebecca? Tell me quickly.”

I looked at him coldly. “It’s nothing to do with you. So, you don't have to worry about this, Aldrich.”

He sneered a few times. He then pinched my face.
