Chapter 4

“You think pretending to be pregnant will make me come back to you, don't you? Rebecca, even if you give birth to eight or ten with someone else, I won't be able to look at you again!”

Vivianna rushed forward. She pulled Aldrich away.

I just looked at them in silence. She comforted him slowly, “Don't be like this, Aldrich. Maybe Rebecca is just too embarrassed to tell everyone about her situation. You know, it's not easy for her to live under someone else's roof, so you should stop asking, okay?”

I honestly felt uncomfortable looking at both of them. Vivianna then turned to look at me.

“Rebecca, today is at least the day of my engagement with Aldrich. You came over to drink a glass of wine and not even drink just picking a fight, it's not right. Please, just drink it, Rebecca. After drinking it, we're still old classmates.”

On the surface, she relieved me. But every word she said was to confirm my identity as a mistress.

I stood up. I was ready to leave after hearing Vivianna’s words. Unfortunately, Aldrich dragged me back.

“You have to drink this cup of wedding wine today, Rebecca. Whether you want to or not! It's not up to you”

After he finished speaking, Vivianna walked up and filled my cup. She then handed it to me.

I gently pushed her away. Without much force, Vivianna fell straight to the ground.

The wine in her hand poured all over her face along the top of her head. This scene made Aldrich's patience run out. His face was completely turned cold.

“Rebecca, you're not done yet, are you?”

Vivianna's eyes turned red with grievance. But she still pretended to be innocent at this moment.

“Please, don't blame Rebecca, Aldrich. She was also careless.”

Someone said, “What do you mean by careless, Vivianna? I think she came over today just to deliberately stir up trouble!”

Aldrich glanced around. He then said in a cold voice, “Hold her down. I don't believe she can't drink!”

I turned around and wanted to run, but I was controlled by someone who couldn't move my limbs. The wine cups gradually approached me. My eyes were red with anxiety.

“Don't do that, Aldrich. My husband is upstairs. He'll be down soon. You have to know this is my family's hotel. He won't let you go if you keep this up!”

The classmates around us immediately changed their faces. They didn't seem to believe what I was saying.

“Siegfried family? She can’t be Mr. Julian's lover outside, is she? That's not right. I've heard that Mr. Julian got married five years ago. His child is three years old now. It's just that the woman has been protected and not publicized.”

“Forget it, guys. She is still in the Siegfried family. She can't get close to a hair, believe me. If she is the wife of Mr. Julian, then I am Mr. Julian’s father!”

“I don't know whose seed she is carrying. But she doesn't dare to see anyone, so of course she can say whatever she wants.”

Aldrich's grim expression instantly exploded with anger. The next second, he reached out and grabbed me by the throat in a death grip.

“Your husband? Rebecca, you don't even have a draft to lie about now. Who doesn't know that this is the Siegfried family's property? What does it have to do with you? I know you're just trying to get me to be soft-hearted and come back to you. But why joke about pregnancy? If you really don't have me in your heart, why are you here today? Now apologize and agree to my demands. Then I can leave you alone.”

I couldn't hold back the anger in my heart any longer and spat viciously in his face. I shouted, “Aldrich, don't think of me the same way as you do! You're fickle, I'm disgusted.”

Aldrich was so angry. It made him pinched my chin to force me to open my mouth. He then poured down the entire bottle of wine.

He ordered, “Drink all the wine in this bottle, Rebecca.”

The pungent sensation continued to stimulate every one of the nerves in my body. I covered my chest and coughed violently.

Aldrich just wanted to take me away, but Vivianna said sharply at this moment, “Aldrich, didn't she say that Mr. Julian was upstairs? It just so happens that we have to talk about the project in a while. So, don't go anywhere.”

The eyes of the people around him lit up instantly.

“Mr. Aldrich cooperates with the Siegfried family? He is indeed a top student. He is amazing. Is your company still short of people? What do you think of me?”

“If Aldrich really knows Mr. Julian, he is not someone we can reach. When will you introduce us to him?”

“I'm not asking for much, Mr. Aldrich. I just want to take a photo with Mr. Julian. Then the photo will be hung on the company door.”

Aldrich didn't respond to their words at all. His eyes always fell on me. Seeing my pale face, he came closer with some intolerance.

“I'll ask you one last time, Rebecca. Do you want to stay with me? I can forget about the things in the past. But the man by your side in the future can only be me. Please, trust me.”

A sneer pulled at the corners of my lips. I braced myself to stand up.

“Dream on!”

The moment I turned around and wanted to leave, Vivianna suddenly exclaimed, “It's Mr. Julian. Mr. Julian is here!”

Aldrich gave me a cold look. I still didn’t care at all.

“You can see, right? The person I am now is no longer the person I was eight years ago. Even the Siegfried family can cooperate, it's not too late for you to regret now.”

A group of people came together. No one cared about me anymore.

Vivianna was busy fixing her hair. She also didn’t forget to touch up her makeup.

The other classmates also took out their prepared business cards. They really waited to hand them over.

On the other side, Julian Siegfried ignored the crowd. He looked around the hall with a cold look. Lifting his feet, he walked over in my direction. The liquor continued to ferment in my body.

Just as I was about to step forward, my body fell down without my control. Julian rushed up to hold me in his arms. His eyes were red with anxiety.

“My wife? Why are you here? What happened to you?”
