Chapter 1

After eight years of our relationship, when my mom was critically ill, I begged my boyfriend, Aldrich Forrester for a wedding. He apparently agreed to do it.

But on the day of the wedding, he played a video of himself and another woman in bed on the screen. The ridicule of the guests made my mom die on the spot.

I was laughed at by everyone as Aldrich's free plaything for eight years.

When the wedding was interrupted, Aldrich pulled me from the roof and leapt down.

Before I died, he looked at me with scarlet eyes. He blamed me for ruining his last chance to be with his lover, Vivianna Reverie.

I only then realized that today was also the day Vivianna left the country. In my heart I cursed him, ‘So, he was disappointed because Vivianna left him. I didn't expect 8 years with him to be the worst in my life.’

I was stunned for a while. My vision slowly became unclear and dark.

When I opened my eyes again, I went back to the day when Aldrich confessed his love.

At this time, I promised myself that I would refuse his approach. ‘I don't want to repeat the same stupidity this time.’

Eight years later, Aldrich succeeded in holding a beautiful woman. He then became the most prestigious entrepreneur in the local area.

At the engagement party, he witnessed me throwing myself into the arms of other men. But with a fierce face, he pulled me aside.

I just frowned. He then questioned me, “Rebecca Moonstone, why did you change your heart so easily?”

——

After cooking dinner for my daughter, I casually put on a casual dress. Then I went to the hotel lobby. My face was a little pale without makeup at this moment.

Before I even went in, I saw the enlarged wedding photos of the two of them on the screen.

Aldrich stood in front of the stage and casually lit a cigarette for himself. Meanwhile, all the classmates in this room were full of gossip.

“Aldrich, no. I mean Mr. Aldrich, How could I not realize that you were flirting with the most beautiful girl on our campus back then? You hid it so deep. Honestly, you didn't have a crush on Vivianna for eight years, right? I can't see that Mr. Aldrich is a man who is in love with just one woman.”

“I agree about it. I remember that when I was in college, you didn't even do your homework every day in college, Aldrich. You just knitted scarves in the dormitory. Your bag was full of love letters. I guess it was all written to our sister-in-law.”

“What are you talking about? Aldrich didn't even know Vivianna at that time. They were all addressed to Rebecca Moonstone.”

When he heard my name, Aldrich's expression turned ugly. The atmosphere fell into awkwardness.

The person on the side hastily patted the classmate who was talking. “Why are you talking about something else? Shut up. We're here today to congratulate Mr. Aldrich and Ms. Vivianna on their engagement.”

“Rebecca seems to have disappeared in the past few years. I guess she's not doing well. But her standard is still quite high. She dared to reject our Mr. Aldrich back then. I'm afraid that she must be regretting it now, right?”

Aldrich smiled bashfully. He still felt great right now.

“The past is in the past, guys. So, let’s not mention her name again. Rebecca originally also didn't like to socialize. It's normal for her not to talk in the group. I actually have to thank her for rejecting me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have found a woman as good as Vivianna.”

Vivianna said, “I am also very happy now.”

Vivianna also took Aldrich’s arm and swung the Cartier on her wrist. She showed it to them on purpose.

“Yeah, speaking of which, Ms. Rebecca is still our benefactor. So, we have to toast her properly in a while. Without this former person planting trees, Aldrich also doesn't know how to love people. It is also her credit, I am so happy now.”

Vivianna’s words were absolutely true. Eight years ago, in order to chase me, Aldrich learned a lot about romantic flirtation. Because he used to really not know how to treat women.

99 love letters, hand-knitted scarves and bracelets were proof of the love that Aldrich gave me. He even confessed in public at the school assembly. This matter was a trending topic at school for a month before finally stopping being discussed.

The love of youth was always flamboyant and passionate. Unfortunately, the ending was a coincidence.

Eight years have passed. The hatred in my heart gradually dissipated. Now I only had the indifference of a stranger to him.

In the midst of laughter and chatting, I stepped into the hall. The laughter came to an abrupt end. All the eyes of the crowd looked at me with a bit of mockery.

“Hey, isn't this Rebecca, who rejected our Mr. Aldrich? Do you still have the face to come over here?”

“Seeing that our Mr. Aldrich is engaged to a beautiful woman like Ms. Vivianna. Your teeth are all gnawed off, aren't they?”
