Chapter 6

Farida was taken away by Pacey, under the envious sights of other girls.

"Come in."

Pacey took her to one of his apartments, which was elegantly decorated and luxurious.

Farida entered and asked tentatively, "Is Sherry at home?"

Pacey, taking out a glass and a bottle of wine from the cabinet, glanced at her with a smile: "She doesn't live in such a place."

It's just an apartment. She deserves a better place.

Hearing this, Farida blushed and asked him cautiously, "That's not what I mean. I was just afraid...Sherry would be unhappy if she saw you took me home."

Pacey leaned on the sofa, swaying the wine glass with his slender fingers, sniffing the wine, and screwed up his eyes. He said: "Another woman was living here this morning, who was sent to a red light district in another country. Do you know why?"

Another woman?

Farida was stunned: "W......Why?"

Pacey sipped the wine\ with his thin lips, and the sweetness of the wine spread in his mouth "Because she disturbed Sherry's tranquility."

Suddenly, Farida felt creepy. She forced a smile.

Pacey waved his hand slightly letting her sit down: "Tell me about you."

Farida lowered her head and said: "My father had a sudden cerebral hemorrhage while working the year I graduated. Although he was cured, he spent all the family savings. My mother is in poor health and has no financial resources. All these years, my father was the only one who supported the whole family. Now, not only can he not work hard, but he also has to spend a lot of money on treatment every month. I ... I have no choice but to work in the Hyatt Club.”

She looked at the man in front of her with hope and anxiety as if he was her salvation.

Pacey didn't say anything, and Farida approached him cautiously, resting her head on his shoulder: "Pacey, help me."

Pacey raised his hand, touching her hair, and said something inexplicable. He said, "You have a pair of beautiful eyes."

She looked a lot like her.

Farida didn’t understand his words. Just then, Pacey's phone rang.

It was Sherry calling.

Pacey paused for a moment, put his finger on Farida's lips, and answered the phone.

Farida knew what that meant, and she kept quiet. She knew that she didn't have the qualification to say not.

"Sherry~~"

No matter how many years have passed, every time he called out her name, his voice was full of tenderness, which was exactly the same as when Farida witnessed their love in the college.

Farida was jealous of Sherry, but she didn’t show it.

Both of them were women, but she almost sell her body for a living, while Sherry was held in the palm of Pacey's hand.

"Pacey, are you still on your work? Tonight..."

"There's a meeting at night. I won’t go back if it's too late." Pacey said.

After hearing his words, Sherry, who was picking ingredients in the supermarket, paused for a moment. She never played a petty temper when it came to Pacey’s work. If he said he had work to do, no matter what she wanted to say, she could only reply to him: "Don't be too late. Take care of yourself...I'll bring you the dinner."

She had nothing to do at home, and she hadn't stepped into the company for a long, long time.

Pacey withdrew his fingers from Farida's lips, "There is no need to do this. I'll be distracted if you’re here."

He was very good at saying sweet words, especially to her. Otherwise, he couldn’t cajole her in those days.

After hanging up, Sherry in the supermarket looked at the food in her shopping cart and didn't want to continue shopping. She accidentally knocked over something on the shelf around the corner. When she bent down to pick it up, darkness came over her eyes.

She thought it was just hypoglycemia and didn't mind it, but as soon as she stood up, her head spins dizzily.

The thing in her hand fell and she fell to the ground.

"Are you alright?"

"Help! Somebody has passed out!"
