He Stole My Heart Quietly
Chapter 1
My best friend, Jasmine Cooper, was on a business trip and entrusted me to pick up her younger brother who had just gotten a college acceptance letter.
The moment I saw her brother, Noah, the beast that had been sleeping in me for many years awakened instantly. I immediately wanted to leap into his arms and be affectionate with him.
He was my best friend's brother, but I didn't care!
My sense of shame? Don’t matter.
I shouldn't shit where I ate? That was bullshit!

At this moment, I felt extremely uneasy.
I was sitting in the living room, with my hands resting on my legs, earnestly recalling the law that I learned in college.
Noah was taking a shower in the bathroom, and the sound of water was splashing.
I imagined his perfect figure and then began to ponder whether it would be illegal to rush into the bathroom and forcefully touch him to cause serious consequences.
If it was illegal, how many years would I be sentenced to?
At least three years and at most life imprisonment?
If I was sentenced to only three years, I was at a loss to touch him once, right?
"What are you thinking about?"
Suddenly, I heard voices above my head, which startled me. I quickly looked up.
I saw Noah wearing a white bathrobe, standing in front of me, slowly reaching out his hand to my shoulder, inching closer.
He had just finished showering, his hair still damp. His handsome face was a little pink because of the water vapor, like a ripe peach with a rosy blush, particularly enticing.
My heart raced as I stared at him, watching his handsome face getting closer and closer to mine.
He was so close that my heart was pounding, and my brain couldn't think anymore.
He was still getting closer to me, and his bathrobe was open. I saw his fair skin, well-defined collarbones, and perfect jawline.
Wasn't it for kissing at such a distance? My mind went blank, and I said to myself that I had to take this chance regardless of three years or life imprisonment.
After all, we have kissed before!

Although today was the first time I met Noah, we have indeed kissed before.
Here was the thing.
In the morning, when I was sleeping with my blanket, my best friend Jasmine called me non-stop.
She kept calling after I hung up. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I answered the phone and was ready to argue with her.
As a result, Jasmine interrupted and said, "Two hundred dollars! Go to the airport to pick up my younger brother. He was coming to Tucson for school today, but I'm on a business trip."
Two hundred dollars!
The money was the bridge of communication and the doorbell that opened my heart.
"No problem!" I jumped out of bed and promised to pick up her brother and safely send Noah to her house.
Jasmine quickly sent me the name, phone number, and the arrival time of her brother.
I glanced at my phone and found that I was running out of time. I didn't have time to put on makeup.
Never mind.
After all, I was just to pick up an 18-year-old boy who just got into the University of Arizona. There was no need to make it so grand.
There was some traffic on the way. When I rushed to the airport, most of the passengers had already left, and only a few people were waiting in place.
From a distance, my eyes wandered over the people at the exit and quickly locked onto one boy of them.
He was tall and fair-skinned, wearing a white shirt and black pants. He pushed a silver-white suitcase, exactly as Jasmine described.
But Jasmine didn't tell me that he was so handsome that my heart started beating faster as soon as I met his gaze.
Seeing him take out his phone with anxiety, I quickly shouted, "Noah!"
Noah heard my sound and raised his head to look at me.
I was afraid that he would be impatient, so I hurriedly ran over, wanting to get to him faster.
However, I didn't know that the cleaner had just mopped the floor, which was still wet. Without paying attention, my right foot slipped after running a few meters, and I fell directly towards Noah.
Because I was running too fast, I couldn't stop my feet in time. I could only watch that this guy, who was a head taller than me, was knocked down by me and caught my body in a very strange posture.
Well, we were all going to die, but why was it a social suicide for me?
Not only did I knock Noah down, but because of inertia, my head leaned on him.
What's worse, our lips touched.
In an instant, my heart was about to jump out, and time seemed to stop.
In the last second, a strange feeling surged in my heart.
His lips were quite sweet.
