Chapter 2

I returned home holding Mia's urn, only to find that all of Mia's things were gone.

Oliver had no feelings for Mia a long time ago, and he had been having an affair with Kathy for many years.

But Mia still refused to divorce for my sake and slept in a separate room from Oliver.

But when I pushed the door open and went into her room, I found it was empty.

I rushed over like crazy and searched the drawers, closets, and under the bed, but the room was as clean as if no one had ever lived there.

Just then, I heard the door open.

I stormed out and yelled to Oliver, "Where are the things in my mom's room?"

Oliver smiled when he saw me and said, "Tina, you're back, why didn't you attend the banquet?"

I was shaking all over and clenched my fists tightly, saying, "Where is everything in my mom's room?"

Oliver frowned and said, "Tina, watch out your tone. Your mother's things are useless left there. I asked someone to clean it up."

At this time, a gentle voice came from behind him, "Don't be mad at the child. Today is our wedding day. Be happy."

I looked coldly at Kathy who walked out from behind Oliver, wearing a bright red dress and with bright red lips.

Oliver quickly grabbed her hand and smiled happily, saying, "Kathy, this is my daughter Tina, who just came back after studying abroad."

Kathy smiled at me and said, "Hello, Tina, I'm Kathy White, you can call me Kathy."

I stood there motionless and without making a sound.

Oliver was very dissatisfied and said, "Tina, why are you so rude? Don't you even know how to greet people?"

I turned around and went back to my room, slamming the door loudly.

Outside the door, Kathy still was comforting him faintly, "Don't bother with a child..."

I lay on the bed, closed my eyes, and tears rolled down my cheeks.

I locked myself in my room for the next few days

I searched the whole room and finally found a photo of Mia and me from a book.

I stroked Mia's face in the photo, my vision blurry.

These few days I feel like I had shed all the tears I would have cried in my lifetime.

Oliver was very angry about my resistance, and at first, he even banged on my door.

After he got tired of knocking on my door, he started cursing.

And Kathy would gently persuade him.

In the end, he got tired of scolding me and just ignored me completely.

I stayed in the room, holding the urn in my arms, talking to Mia in a constant stream.

I said whatever came to my mind.

I didn't feel hungry or thirsty.

When I was tired, I slept with the urn in my arms. In my dreams, I saw Mia when she was young, and her smile was so gentle.

I was about to chase after her when I woke up from my dream. The room was pitch black and there was only a cold urn in my arms.

I spent several days in a daze, and suddenly I heard Mia's voice coming from outside the door.

I stood up in a trance, opened the door, and walked out.

The sound disappeared.

I walked forward slowly and saw Oliver and Kathy standing at the second-floor stairs chatting.

Oliver sounded proud, "I told you this thing is useful, and that guy didn't lie to me."

Kathy said in a tender voice, "You're wise. I thought I would have to wait a few more years before marrying you."

Oliver hugged her tenderly and said, "Silly girl. If it weren't for Mia, why would I marry you until now? Mia can only blame for her bad luck and depression."

Kathy giggled and said, "Mia would never have thought that her phone was hacked. Seeing those negative news every day, it would be strange if she didn't commit suicide."

I was trembling all over and my hands and feet were cold. It turned out that Mia did not commit suicide, but was forced to death by them.

She couldn't even wait to see me.

My eyes were red, I picked up the fruit knife on the coffee table and rushed towards them. I said, "You all have to pay for my mother's life!"

Kathy shrank back in panic, screaming, "What are you doing? Are you crazy?"

Oliver immediately protected Kathy behind him and yelled at me, "Tina! Put down the knife!"

I swung the knife at Kathy. She hid behind Oliver with a pale face, trembling.

"Tina, you are as crazy as your mother!"

Oliver yelled and reached out to push me hard. I lost my balance and fell straight off the stairs.

I fell from the second floor to the first floor, and with a clang, the knife in my hand fell.

My throat made a gurgling sound as if it was squeezed, and I vomited a large mouthful of blood. The back of my head hurt so much that I reached out and touched it, and my hands were covered in blood.

At that moment, I was thinking of Mia.

I wondered if she felt much more pain than I did when she jumped from the sixth floor.

In my last moment of being sober, I saw Oliver and Kathy rushing down, looking at me with panicked faces.

I raised my bloody hands toward them.

The next moment, I saw them pick up the knife I dropped on the ground and stab it into my heart.
