When She Started to be Herself
Chapter 4
I saw Jack and Lisa in the crowd.
They rushed up with shining eyes. "Yasmin, you bought it? That's great, I knew you wanted to give us a surprise."
Lisa said, "Yasmin, I will tell Mom and Dad right away. They will definitely forgive you."
I looked at the manager, who stepped forward and said, "Excuse me, if you have anything to say, please wait until we finish the ceremony, okay?"
They both stepped back angrily.
After the applause, I walked out of the crowd.
Jack and Lisa immediately followed and said, "Yasmin, which one did you buy? Take us to see it."
I said, "I've been kicked out by you, so of course I have to buy my own house to live in."
Jack said, "Yasmin, stop joking. It's common for a family to quarrel. Don't take it seriously."
Lisa said, "Yasmin, I just called Mom and Dad, they will be here soon, let's go to the new house and see when to move in."
I was speechless.
A taxi stopped in front of us and my parents got out.
Jack went up. "Dad, Mom, you are here. Yasmin has already paid for the house."
My mother scolded me. "Yasmin, why didn't you tell us? How could you make the decision on your own for such a big thing?"
My father snorted. "You're getting bolder and bolder."
Although they said this, they could not hide the slight pride in their expression of "I knew you wouldn't dare to confront us!"
I looked at them and didn't move.
Jack urged. "Yasmin, take us to see the new house."
I crossed my arms and didn't move. "I bought this house for myself, what's there for you to see?"
Jack still didn't believe it. "Yasmin, stop talking in anger. Why would you buy such a big house for yourself?"
Lisa said, "Yes, Yasmin. Liam and Luna have asked for a computer room. When we move in, you can come and visit."
I didn't get angry but laughed instead. No wonder, I had spoiled them too much before, which made them were able to say such shameless things.
Just then the salesperson came out and said, "Ms. Quill, here is the purchase contract. We will apply for the property certificate right away."
Jack said to the salesperson, "When will the property certificate be issued? I will bring my ID."
The salesperson glanced at him and said, "The owner is Ms. Quill and she has already completed the registration. Ms. Quill, I will send the property certificate to you when it's done."
They were all stunned. They didn't expect that I actually bought a house for myself.
After a while, my mother howled loudly. "You damn girl, your brother doesn't even have a house yet, how could you buy one for yourself? Why are you spending money like this?"
My father was relatively calm and said to the salesperson, "Miss, the property certificate hasn't issued yet. Can we change the owner to my son?"
The salesperson looked at him as if he was crazy, then she smiled at me and left.
Jack pulled me and said, "Yasmin, you can still change the name. It's not too late to change it now."
I shook him off. "If you want to buy a house, go buy it yourself."
My dad rushed over and slapped me in the face. "You, go change the name right now!"
My mother also yelled at me, "Yes, you must change it today!"
