Chapter 2

Lisa didn't say anything, she was playing with her phone and glanced at me out of the corner of her eye.

I pulled Liam and Luna away. "You have so many toys, you don't need any more toys. Go do your homework!"

The two kids who had always been spoiled by me pouted in grievance and looked at Lisa beside them.

I didn't even look at Lisa, I just walked out and headed straight for the mall!

After shopping for an afternoon, I was completely refreshed. I got my hair permed, had a manicure, and bought several new clothes. These clothes were something I never dared to buy before because of the price.

As the owner of a beauty salon, I knew how to dress, but I was reluctant to spend money on myself in the past. All I wore and used were cheap items, which showed no texture or class.

Now I became a different person!

I went to the beauty salon first, and a few beautician girls praised me. "Ms. Quill, you look so beautiful today!"

I returned home full of joy.

For my new image, my whole family just gave me a few glances. My mother opened her mouth but finally held back and said nothing.

Until they saw my new Louis Vuitton bag.

Lisa couldn't help but say, "Yasmin, this bag is a knockoff, right? How much did you pay for it?"

I laughed. "I bought it this afternoon, Louis Vuitton, thirty thousand dollars!"

Jack and Lisa widened their eyes. "What? Thirty thousand?"

Lisa snorted and said coldly, "This is just a waste of money. You are really rich since you are willing to spend thirty thousand dollars to buy this!"

Jack looked at my mother angrily and said, "Mom, look at Yasmin. Our whole family is still living in one house, but she spent thirty thousand dollars on a bag."

My mother frowned. "Yasmin, why are you so immature!"

My dad yelled, "You're wasting money, go back and return it!"

They thought I would definitely go to the mall with a red face, looking aggrieved, as usual, to return the bag.

But, I was no longer the silly me in my last life!

I slowly stretched out my hand to admire my manicure. "I used my own money, and what does it have to do with you guys? Why should I return it?"

Dad was choked by me. He didn't expect that his daughter, who had always obeyed them since childhood, would dare to refute!

Before they could react, I showed them the jade necklace on my neck. "Look, this is the jade necklace I just bought, twenty thousand dollars!"

It was like a thunderclap, which blew their minds off.

The Lisa was already incoherent. "Twenty thousand! Yasmin, you must have been cheated!"

Jack quickly took out his phone and said, "Yes, yes, yes, call the police. You must have been scammed!"

I snatched his phone and said, "What are you doing? I can show you the invoice and the attached appraisal certificate. This is a genuine jade necklace!"

My father was so angry that he was trembling. He pointed at me and said, "You, you are rebellious!"

My mother said, "Yasmin, go back and return all of them! It's one hundred and fifty thousand dollars! You agreed to buy a house for your brother, why are you spending money like this?"

These words were heartfelt wishes of Jack and Lisa, and they quickly nodded.

Jack took a deep breath and said, "Yasmin, hurry up, return them before Dad gets angry."

I thought, "Getting angry? I'm just afraid that you won't get angry."

I looked at them coldly, and suddenly Luna shook my arm. "Aunt Yasmin, I want the necklace, I want it."

Then Liam also rushed over and said, "Aunt Yasmin, give it to me. My parents said that all your things will be mine."
