Werewolf Mirror

Frank fell silent for a moment, contemplating John’s words. He began to doubt continuing his work as a servant in the luxurious castle, and what scared him was the possibility of the castle’s servants becoming targets of the Werewolves one by one.

“Does Mr. George know about this?” Frank asked.

“I don’t know either, because so far it seems like he’s not involved, but we’ll see,” John replied as he urged his horse-drawn carriage forward.

“I feel like quitting my job at that castle,” Frank said.

“Why would you quit?” John asked, surprised, turning to look at Frank.

“I’m afraid that it might happen to me,” Frank answered.

Then, Frank expressed his fears and suspicions that one day they would all be sacrificed by the owner of the castle.

“Why do you suspect Mr. George?” John asked, curious.

“Don’t you suspect his increasing wealth?” Frank said again.

“Maybe he became rich because of the Grape harvest and his Grape drink company’s success in the global market,” John argued.

Frank rejected John’s answer and was more convinced that Mr. George obtained his wealth through unconventional means. Finally, John fell silent, listening to his friend’s words, and he began to agree with Frank in his heart.

Frank expressed his intention to quit if the situation in the castle continued to deteriorate.

“If you quit, what reason will you give to Mr. George?” John asked, urging his horse to go faster.

“I will say that I’m moving to my uncle’s house in Kent,” Frank replied.

“Alright then,” John said, nodding his head.

They arrived in the city of Cardiff and bought all the necessities. After that, they returned to Swansea with anxious hearts.

As night approached and they arrived, they saw the castle in a very quiet state. But when John looked up, he was shocked to see a black shadow watching him. It looked like a werewolf, and without realizing it, he screamed in fear, startling Frank.

“What’s wrong, John? Why did you scream like that?” Frank asked, surprised.

“I saw a Werewolf shadow up there!” John exclaimed, pointing to the living room.

Frank immediately looked up to see, but he didn’t see anyone up there. He looked at John with confusion.

“I don’t see anyone,” Frank said.

“But I saw it earlier,” John replied.

Frank just stared at John with a confused face, then they immediately entered while carrying their shopping bags into the kitchen, where Mrs. Leony was seen preparing dinner for Mr. George.

The woman smiled at them, but Frank looked at her suspiciously. When the woman walked towards the dining room, Frank whispered in John’s ear and told him that his friend should come to his room later that night. John just nodded without saying anything in response to Frank’s words.

Mr. George and Mrs. Marinda were enjoying their meal in the dining room and being served by Mrs. Leony. The three of them seemed very close, which made Frank, who was in the kitchen, even more suspicious.

“It seems that the cook is very close to them,” said Frank.

“True, even though they are not that friendly towards the other workers,” answered John.

Frank became more suspicious of the cook because when she smiled at them, the smile seemed to contain a mystery that couldn’t be described in words.

As the night grew late, John hurried to Frank’s room and asked his friend about the meaning of asking him to come. Frank told him about Mrs. Leony, who had fangs located on both sides of her lips.

John was shocked to hear his friend’s report and suspected that the old woman was one of the Werewolf followers.

“I suspect that Mrs. Leony is one of the Werewolf followers in that mirror,” said John.

“True, I agree with you,” replied Frank.

Frank felt that his bad suspicions were about to come true, and it was proven when Mrs. Leony transformed into a supernatural creature.

“We have to leave here as soon as possible,” Frank urged his friend.

“Your words are true,” answered John.

“And it’s better if you don’t communicate with me too often to avoid suspicion,” John requested.

Frank just nodded his head, and then John got up from the sofa to open the door. But before he could do that, they suddenly heard the howling of a wolf in the living room, which frightened both of the servants.

John canceled his intention to leave Frank’s room, and they both just stayed inside, waiting for what would happen next. They heard the howling of wolves echoing each other, and shortly after, they heard the sound of a window being opened by someone in the room.

And John decided not to leave Frank’s room until morning. Meanwhile, in the living room, something terrifying happened. Two werewolves came out of the mirror and jumped, and Mrs. Leony was opening the window for them. She transformed into a werewolf.

The three of them jumped out of the window and disappeared into the darkness of the night. Sometime later, they heard the sound of Mr. George’s footsteps heading toward the living room. He was only there for a moment and then returned to his room. Frank and John listened to every sound and step that happened around the living room. They pressed their ears against the door so that everything could be heard clearly.

“I can’t stand staying here anymore, it’s terrifying,” Frank said with a trembling voice.

“Be patient until the time comes. Besides, if we leave this castle, they will surely ask for the reason,” John tried to convince Frank.

Frank fell silent, listening to his friend’s words. His sanity returned, and he nodded his head. Then, John devised a plan for them to pretend not to know about this incident and continue working as usual.

Towards morning, John left Frank’s room and went back to his room. Luckily, tomorrow was a holiday for all the servants, so he could sleep soundly until noon. The castle became silent as if it was uninhabited, and while the inhabitants of the castle were sleeping, the three werewolves returned. The two werewolves entered the mirror again, while Mrs. Leony transformed back into a human form.
