During the summer break, I returned home, and once again, my dad tried to persuade me to study finance abroad so that I could help manage the family business in the future.

My mom, an artist, disliked such money-focused talk, and they ended up arguing.

I gave a reasonable suggestion. Since they're so energetic, why not have a second child now? They could have one to inherit the business and another to carry on the art legacy. After all, I'm a lost cause.

My parents looked as if they'd just had a lightbulb moment and immediately decided to reinstate my black card and restore my allowance to its original level. I regretted not suggesting this sooner. Who knew regaining my life as a rich second-generation would be so easy?

While the maid was helping me pack, she found the invitation card and asked, "Miss Maggie, where would you like me to put this invitation to Eden and Paul's engagement party?"

My dad, knowing Paul had been my boyfriend, asked, "Is the one getting engaged that little boyfriend of yours, Paul?"

I popped a grape into my mouth and nodded, "Yep, that's him. We broke up recently. He probably thought I was poor."

My dad couldn't believe I was dumped for being poor, but after remembering that my allowance had been cut, he seemed to understand. He then said, "My Maggie is so lucky. You saw through his unreliability early on. That's good. By the way, I heard you discovered a new asteroid."

My dad, who usually hated my stargazing hobby, was now bringing it up. It seemed like he was trying to cheer me up. But honestly, I wasn't that upset. How deep could a relationship get in just six months? Besides, I love my universe far more.

I replied, "Yes, and it's even named after me, the MAG asteroid."

My dad said, "Such a significant discovery by my daughter deserves a celebration." With that, he started making phone calls, and soon I realized something was off. My dad had scheduled this so-called celebration on the same day as Eden's engagement party. I guess he's just as sly as I am.

I called Doris, "Doris, my dad is throwing me a celebration party for discovering the asteroid, and it's on the same day and at the same place as Eden's engagement party. Oh, by the way, I'm actually the daughter of Jeff."

Then I heard a barrage of accusations from Doris, "Your family is so rich, and you always made me pay when we went out! I thought I was doing a good deed."

I could only explain, "It's because I refused to study finance and got my allowance cut. You really were doing a good deed."

Doris expressed her sympathy for my situation and promised to attend the celebration party.

I knew she was actually eager to see Eden and Paul's reactions when they found out my real identity. She even planned to borrow her cousin to pose as my boyfriend, claiming that he had admired me for a long time but couldn't act on it because I had a boyfriend. She sent me a photo of her cousin.

I thought he looked familiar, but I didn't recognize him. I figured all handsome guys look alike, but I still declined Doris's suggestion. After all, I didn't know her cousin, so I couldn't pretend he was my boyfriend.

Soon, the day of the celebration arrived. I got to the Rosewood at 11 a.m. and saw Eden and Paul in the lobby. Paul hadn't expected me to come since he didn't know Eden had sent me an invitation. He hurriedly asked, "What are you doing here?"
