The Vicious Mother-in-Law

Felix's mother, Carolyn Hastings, looked at me in disbelief, wondering how a woman as gentle and kind as me could say such a thing.

After all, I had always been so obedient.

Carolyn blushed from anger, pointing at my nose and cursing me.

"You... You! I've known for a long time that you're not a decent woman, and you're a bitch. How dare you cheat on my son behind his back?

"Everyone, come and see. This woman is cheating on her husband!

"Is someone going to take care of this?"

Carolyn slumped down in the entrance to the hospital and cried. Hearing her sound, people around her looked over at her.

I looked at Carolyn indifferently as she made a scene, and I felt nothing but great joy in my heart.

It was crowded at the hospital, and many people were here to see what was going on.

However, this was a hospital after all, so a few doctors and nurses soon came and tried to convince her to leave, but she just wanted to go crazy here.

Eventually, even the hospital director came.

"Madam, this is a hospital. Please don't talk loudly."

"Who are you to tell me to shut up? I'm accompanying my family for a checkup."

As Carolyn looked at me, I fell right to the ground in shock.

"She wants me to abort my baby, so I don't want to live. Boohoo..."

At this point, I was protecting my belly, sobbing constantly, and looking like I was about to pass away. After all, I was pregnant, and everyone would sympathize with me.

I thought, "Humph, isn't she just crazy? She's even so shameless now. Would I let her do that?"

The doctors couldn't do anything with Carolyn, so they asked someone to send her out while those who were watching the fun left.

As I finished my pregnancy check in the morning, the doctor said the fetus was stable. I rubbed my belly and felt the temperature of the little baby inside, but I had mixed feelings.

Felix Hastings and I met at our workplace. He was so handsome, and a lot of girls adored him when he first came to the company. Also, he often received a lot of gifts from the girls, except for me.

I was known as a strict and powerful woman in my company, and I was so competent at my job that I kept getting promoted.

My employees all followed my orders. After all, I had worked here for three years, and I was considered a veteran in the company. Most of them were young and hadn't been through the mill.

When Felix first joined the company, he was assigned to my department and was sitting right beside me. He was so talkative and always liked to ask me some inexplicable questions.

I was annoyed by him, so I threw him a bunch of papers. He immediately and attentively put those materials in his workplace and worked diligently.

He was such a masochist.

The day we truly got closer on the outside was when we were off work on the weekends.

People who were working loved nothing more than to enjoy life on the weekends, which was why I chose to stay in this company.

When I came out of the office, I was humming a tune and ready to go to a nearby restaurant for some barbecue and beer.

Coincidentally, I ran into my asshole ex-boyfriend, Yohan Blake.

I didn't know if Yohan was waiting for me here specifically because I had a terrible time with him a while ago.

We had dated for a total of three days, but he cheated on me three times. No one could tolerate him. Besides, he cheated on three different women.

"Joanna, I finally meet you. I've been waiting for you for a long time, and I know I was wrong. Let's not break up, okay?"

His attitude was sincere, his eyes filled with tears. If I hadn't bumped into Yohan cheating on me before, and as he always promised me after I found out, but I caught him cheating on me the next day, I would have almost believed it.

I felt annoyed, walked around him, and was ready to leave, but he kept pestering me. I didn't know if he thought about it more after the breakup, his hair even turned gray, and he looked skinny, but even so, he annoyed me.

"Hey, why are you flirting with my girlfriend?"

That was when Felix showed up.

"Alright, I know why you insisted on breaking up with me, and it turns out you found a new boyfriend a long time ago."

"Bitch, yuck."

"If a man can't control his lower part of his body, do you know what such a man will be called? A toad.

"And, sir, I've called the police."
