The Rejected Wolf Turn Mighty Luna

Christopher's POV

I was still reminiscing about that time two years previously when a witch named Wendy had saved my life when I suddenly started having weird vibes. Zara, my wolf became restless and distressed. I tried to ignore him thinking that his distress was as a result of frustration born out of interrupted coitus with our mate. I did not blame him because my body was still protesting about the same thing.

But Zara kept nudging me and I felt very anxious all of a sudden and then a premonition of danger fell on me and I started running towards the mansion - to Millicent. I had to know if she was okay.

As I got to the door of her room, what I heard chilled me to the bones.

'You are an itch that has to be scratched and since you are not going to admit to your desire for me nor submit your body to me willingly, then I'll take it by force. I am the Alpha and can do anything I please!' That was Sylvester's voice and I need not wonder who he was talking to.

I pushed the door open and with my quick reflexes hit him in the jaw and he fell to the floor, releasing Millicent whom he had been molesting. I leapt after him and fell on him to keep him down.

'You shall not take my mate against her will or you will answer to me and believe me, you don't want to do that!'

I said as I started hitting him on the face and other parts of his body, he turned over releasing his hand and hit me as well. I was able to dodge some of them but some caught me on the face and other parts of my body.

We jumped to our feet and stayed fighting, clawing at each other, panting... Millicent was screaming, calling on someone to help her.

'They will kill each other!'she screamed. 'Please come, someone, anyone!'

Alot of things were dislodged from the room and fell as our bodies hit them as we fought.

The noise must have attracted our Betas Samuel and Daniel ho came between us. They regretted it as we continued hitting each other, most of the punches landing on them.

Not until the chief came and ordered us to stop did we stop, both our bodies were bloodied.

'Stop this nonsense this instant!' he ordered.

We let go of each other, panting from the exertion. I like to think I was the greater warrior with all humility but Sylvester had really improved. And why not, he has to since he was leading a pack. But that was the farthest thing in my mind as I stood glaring at him. How dare he touch my mate intimately? The picture I saw as I barged into the room was etched in my mind and it was getting me all fired up.

'I'd like to see the both of you in the throne room immediately', Chief Scooter said. We went into the room after him.

The chief of the pack was like the grand father of the pack and the Alphas must respect him.

'Can you tell me what that was all about?' he asked as soon as the door was shut behind us.

When we refused to say a word, he startled us by laughing. 'Don't bother saying anything. This is about that female, er.. Millicent to whom you are both betrothed, isn't it?'

We still said nothing, but kept heaving.

'I understand how frustrating it can be for two strong Alpha male of equal rank to want the same female. Not just want but be fated to the same female. It is even worse when it is your own brother', he paused a while. 'But you have to be patient. The curse associated with such...'

'That rubbish about one having to die for the other?' I queried sceptically . 'That isn't going to happen. Sylvester here was almost on the verge of marriage to his chosen mate Cathania when you stopped him', I paused to take in air. 'I am mated to Millicent and both of us acknowledge the strong bond we have. The matter has settled itself! I have Millicent, Sylvester takes Cathania back!'

'It's not as easy as that', the chief said knowingly. 'But it might work out, though we don't have to be too much in a hurry to experiment with your suggestion, lives are at stake. We shall find out, just to be on the safe side and then we shall have this meeting again'.

'Just bear in mind that I have separated permanently from Cathania and right now, I want Millicent! She is my mate, too'. Sylvester who had been silent all this while said.

I glared at him and he glared back at me.

'If you really considered her your mate, you would not have harassed her the way you just did!

'We shall definitely find a lasting solution to this that will benefit all', the chief said, but I perceived he was not certain about there being an amicable resolution.

'If there's no other thing to discuss here, I'd like to go and see to something!' I said.

'Do not go near Millicent!' Sylvester warned.

'You have broken her heart and harassed her, she needs someone she can trust right now', I said, pointedly, looking daggers at him. 'Rest assured, we're not going to start mating as soon as your back is turned. And I'll definitely not descend as low as you did. I won't force myself on her! What are you teaching the rest of the pack for goodness sake?' I brushed past him up the stairs to Millicent's room where I found her crying.

'Oh Christopher', she said as she raised her head and saw me. 'It's you!' Then she stood and threw her arms round me, crying harder and my heart went out to her.

'It's okay, love', I consoled. 'Your love is here with you now!' If I thought my words would calm her, the opposite was the case. She sobbed louder.

'What is it, Millicent?' I asked alarmed.

' Is there something you're not telling me? Did Sylvester do something to you?' I could feel my heart thumping faster. Was the situation worse than I was envisaging?

'Oh, Christopher, I have betrayed you!' she wailed.
