Chapter 2

When I got home, I directly threw my backpack on the sofa.

"Sis, I don't want to pretend anymore. My classmate actually called me a country bumpkin!"

My sister Evelyn Franklin was leaning on the sofa playing with her cell phone. After listening to me, she advised me, "Just bear with it."

"I can't stand it!"

"My movie will be released in four months."

"Evelyn..."

After hearing this, she thought for a moment, "If you endure for another four months, I'll have Dad give you that Ferrari SF90."

"Deal!" I instantly felt much better and shouted, "Uncle James, clean that Ferrari for me. I'm going to take it tomorrow!"

Evelyn smiled helplessly, "Calm down. Tomorrow is Friday, not the weekend. You still have to go to school."

Although that was the case, when I got the sports car, I remained joyful even when I went to school the next day.

At noon, the homeroom teacher came over to give special instructions.

The other grades would have a parent-school activity tonight, so there was bound to be traffic at the end of the school day. We were told to contact our parents and it would be best to carpool home today.

My deskmate tilted his head and looked at me, "How about you take my family's car and go home together? I'll give you a ride. Where do you live?'

I thought about my luxurious villa area and decisively refused, "No need."

"Don't be polite. Your car can't be carpooling."

I was speechless.

In order to travel in a low-profile way, my dad asked Uncle James to buy the cheapest car on the market to pick me up for school.

The next day, Uncle James came back with a mini car.

With only two seats, it was really impossible to carpool.

I had to agree and thank my deskmate. I would just randomly mention a place and then go back after getting out of the car.

I didn't expect that my deskmate's family car had a flat tire on the way. He said I could only find other classmates to carpool home.

I said it was okay, and then sent a message asking Uncle James to come and pick me up.

Just as I walked to the school gate, I saw several classmates surrounding Harry, listening to him talking.

"My dad is picking me up today in a Porsche 718, and he can pick you up too."

The classmates next to him were all envious.

"That's great. Harry's family cars are all luxury cars. He's really rich."

"Yeah, I heard that several of Harry's cars are worth 800,000 to 900,000 dollars. They are so expensive."

"I heard that Harry's family is going to cooperate with the Franklin Group, the richest group in New York."

"Damn, then your family will make a fortune. Harry, don't forget about me when you get rich."

Enjoying the praise of classmates, Harry was quite satisfied, with the corners of his mouth almost curling up to the sky.

When he turned his head and saw me, his expression became playful. He hurriedly came over to ask me with fake kindness.

"Jeremy, do you want to ride in my car? Let you experience what a luxury car is like."

I probably know what Harry had in mind.

Last night, I pointed out that he was wearing fake shoes and embarrassed him, so today he deliberately had his family come to pick him up in a luxury car to embarrass me.

Porsche 718 was around 90 to 110 thousand. It was a rare luxury car among our classmates.

Not waiting for me to answer, he took it upon himself, "Unfortunately, my car is full. You can line up next time."

I was about to speak when suddenly I heard a burst of exclamation from the other end.

I turned my head and saw a familiar Ferrari SF90 slowly approaching.

Everyone's eyes were caught by this car.

"Is that a Ferrari?"

"Yeah, look at that logo. It's so cool."

"Whose car is it?"

Soon, the car stopped in front of us. The suited Uncle James got out and smiled at me and nodded.

"Master, please get in the car."
