Chapter 2

By the time I reached the sixth floor, I was soaked, with sweat and my hair sticking to my forehead, and my feet covered in mud and blood.

I was in a terrible state at that moment.

I wanted to knock on the door but found that it was not locked and there was a small gap.

Through the gap, I saw Zion holding a fruit knife and cutting fruit for the woman carefully and seriously.

The petite woman leaned in Zion's arms, being extremely intimate.

He rarely did this when he had been with me because he was a doctor, and I knew how important a doctor's hands were.

So I never ask him to do these things.

If this happened in the past, I would be extremely jealous and heartbroken.

But now I don't have time to feel sad about my ridiculous love.

I pushed the door open, and they were startled by my action.

I walked to Zion's side and wanted to pull him up and walk out the door.

But he shook my hand away, and looked at me in such a miserable state, with uncontrollable disgust in his eyes.

"Yasmine? Why are you here?"

"Thomas is still waiting for you in the hospital. Have you forgotten that you promised me to go to the hospital to perform surgery on Thomas?!"

Ignoring his disgust, I tried to hold him again.

But the woman stood in front of Zion.

"Ms. Drake, Zion has an obsession with cleanliness... Can you not touch him for now?"

I looked at the woman's face and suddenly realized that she was Stella Bright, the white whale that Zion had been thinking about.

I had always known Zion had loved a girl for a long time.

They started dating when they were in school but broke up due to their families.

He pinned his chat with Stella on top, and his emergency contact had also been Stella.

I once thought that as long as I was sincere enough, I could make Zion fall in love with me.

But it turned out that I was wrong, completely wrong.

When Zion saw this scene, his eyes toward Stella became softer.

But when it came to Thomas' life, was an obsession with cleanliness really that important?

"Zion, can you please come with me to the hospital first? Thomas really can't wait any longer. After the operation, I don't care where you want to go or what you want to do, okay? "

I begged Zion, and Zion seemed to have just remembered that he had indeed promised me this.

Although he looked unhappy, at least he didn't reject me. "Okay, let's go."

I breathed a sigh of relief and prepared to leave with Zion.

Zion turned around and looked at Stella, ruffling her hair, "Be good and wait for me. I will come back to see you tomorrow."

Stella didn't say anything, just looking at him with red eyes.

I was worried that Stella would say something that would interfere with his decision, so I immediately pulled him away.

It was raining heavily outside and I didn't even have an umbrella.

I rushed into the rain and prepared to get in the car, but I saw Zion standing under the eaves with a frown on his face, unwilling to step into the puddle.

I suppressed my anger, held the only clean coat I had in the car in my arms, and walked towards Zion.

"You won't get dirty if you put this coat on. Let's go to the hospital first, okay? I'll ask the hospital staff to prepare some clean clothes and hot water for you."

It was only with my coaxing tone that Zion reluctantly got into the car in the rain.
