The Meddlesome Mother-in-Law

I wiped away my tears and ran out.

Samuel chased after me as soon as I ran away.

He grabbed my sleeve and said, "Ariana, why are you leaving?"

I thought he would persuade me to go back, but he said as soon as he opened his mouth, "If you leave, what should Mom and I have for dinner tonight?"

I couldn't believe it, he caught up with me just because he was afraid that he and his mom would go hungry tonight.
