The Annual Meeting Prize Is A Weird Photo Chapter 1

On New Year's Eve, a day of celebration for bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, I and my Boss were working in a themed hotel room.

His deep eyes were trying to see through me.

"I take you on a business trip, you take me to a hotel room?"

My image as a real lady, which I had maintained for half a year, collapsed just like that.

After explaining with great effort, I thought I could rebuild my innocent image.

But he quietly said, "So hypocritical."

At the company's annual meeting, I got a little tipsy and felt dizzy.

In a daze, it was time to draw the year-end bonus. Each person had to pick an envelope from the lottery box, and the envelopes contained different types of prizes.

When it was my turn, the host changed the box for me, saying that the envelopes in the other box had all been drawn.

I randomly picked one from a new big box.

After all, I had been an unlucky person since I was a child, a perennial black hole in games. It was absolutely impossible for those super prizes to fall on my head.

Back at my seat, I calmly opened the envelope.

I didn't notice the burning gaze from someone in the distance.

There was only one photo in the envelope.

The boss in the photo was wearing a black sports vest, with fine sweat on his forehead, and a pair of silver headphones hanging around his neck, with sexy muscle lines vaguely visible.

The background was an endless sunset, and his sharp profile was outlined even more gently by the dim light.

This photo was a fake, completely inconsistent with his usual cold and distant image.

It must be an illusion.

This wine was really strong. I had only drunk less than half a cup and already had hallucinations.

I looked at the photo in my hand stupidly and poked my thigh with my manicured nails.

Ouch.

In the burning pain, I realized the reality.

That was indeed a photo of Richard Beck.

I had repeatedly studied all the photos in his WhatsApp, each one was a suit man.

And this one in my hand was definitely a casual boyfriend style.

The contrast was striking.

Everyone at the venue was discussing the rewards they had drawn.

"Working overtime once."

"Three working days."

"Reward work project."

"This is not a reward, it's clearly a punishment."

I stared at the photo in my hand, there was nothing written on it.

My colleague Crystal came over and asked, "Ella, what did you draw?"

I handed her the photo, which was not worth much.

Then, I kept drinking, going crazy, and watching the performance of the annual meeting.

Unconsciously, the alcohol took effect, and I tore the photo into pieces while under the influence, holding it in my hand and scattering it in the air.

I originally thought the boss was a humble and reserved gentleman, but I didn't expect him to be a narcissist who even set his own handsome photo as the year-end bonus gift.

I really misunderstood him.

"Who just drew the boss's photo?"

At the end of the annual meeting, the host stood on the stage and asked the crowd below.

"Your reward is to go on a business trip with Richard Beck."

A loud voice came from the speakers on both sides of the stage.

My colleague saw that I was in a daze and helped lift my arm.

Then I held the torn photo in my hand and showed it to the host.

"Check it?"

The host's face froze, never having seen such fast hand speed before.

"No, no one will compete for this reward, no need to verify."

He whispered, "How much do you hate Richard Beck?"
