Chapter 1

At the wedding, my husband's former impoverished love appeared as a wealthy woman, ready to create chaos.

"James. After all these years, I still can't forget you. Will you marry me?"

James's gaze was drawn to her sparkling jewels, and he replied without hesitation.

"Of course I will, just..."

Suddenly, the room fell silent, all eyes on me.

I calmly pulled out my phone and showed a QR code for payment.

"It's no big deal. Transfer thirty million dollars, and once the payment is made, he will be yours!"

At my wedding with James, he was supposed to sing solo.

However, halfway through, a stunning voice interrupted him.

It was his first love, Alivia, radiant in a couture white wedding dress.

After the song, tears in her eyes, she emotionally asked, "James, will you marry me?"

Before he could respond, she twirled to flaunt her jewelry.

"I'm rich now. Poverty can't stop our love."

James's eyes widened, and a smile broke through his hesitation.

"Of course I will, but..."

He glanced at me down the corridor and finally remembered that today was our wedding.

His eyes moved down and stared at my stomach, hesitating for a moment.

The guests were stunned, their attention fixed on the three of us.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, I approached and presented Alivia with a QR code from my phone.

"Transfer me thirty million dollars, he's all yours.

"Thirty million dollars is enough to buy you a perfect husband. What are you waiting for?"

Everyone was in an uproar and looked at me as if I were a lunatic.

James's expression instantly darkened.

"Charlotte, stop making trouble!

"Can the relationship between us be measured by money?

"Look at Alivia. Her love has remained unchanged through wealth and poverty.

"That's true love!"

I sneered. To put it bluntly, he was attracted by her current money.

He still pretended to be so high-sounding.

I ignored him, fiddling with the veil in my hands indifferently.

"Ms. Barnes, don't hesitate. Make a decision quickly.

"As far as I know, the necklace on your neck is a global limited edition, and it is worth nearly ten million dollars.

"If you're so rich, you won't mind spending thirty million for James, right?

"Do you think he is not worth thirty million or measure up to your necklace? That's really cheap!"

Alivia hesitated, but James was visibly anxious when he heard what she said.

He stepped forward and held Alivia's hands tightly with deep affection.

"Alivia, I was forced to part from you. I've thought of you for years.

"I love you more than my life.

"It's a pity that you and I are not destined to be together. I wish you happiness, but I will always cherish this innocent love in my heart. I will never forget you."

James's heartfelt confession swayed Alivia, and she finally nodded.
