She Set the Dog on Me, I Fought Back

My face was already mangled, blood dripping, and the searing pain forced constant screams from my throat.

I struggled with all my strength, but how could I possibly fight against two dogs and Chloe at once?

No matter how I resisted, I was knocked down again by her blows.

She sneered down at me.

“Look at you now, slut. Do you still think you can steal my man?”

I knew my face was beyond recognition, blood and torn flesh everywhere. The pain was so overwhelming that numbness had begun to set in.

I lifted my head, rasping through my broken voice,

“Chloe, do you even realize what you’re doing?”

“Of course I do!” she replied with a cold smile. “I’m teaching a slut like you a lesson.”

“This is a crime. I can call the police!”

Hearing me, she burst into laughter.

“The police?”

“Don’t you know who my boyfriend is? Jason Carter—the heir of the Carter family. Everyone in the New York elite circle knows his power!”

“And besides, I’m pregnant with his child!”

Smugly, she caressed her stomach.

“I’m the future mistress of the Carter family. My man would never give me up. And you? You’re just a disfigured slut. He won’t even spare you a glance!”

Rage flared in my eyes as I growled,

“With one word from me, Jason wouldn’t dare marry you.”

At this, she only laughed harder.

“You have no idea how much this child means to him. I’ve already checked—it’s a boy. The only male heir of the Carter family!”

She looked at me with pride.

I had no interest in wasting more words with her.

“Chloe, let me go!”

I was too numb from pain and only wanted to escape—to get to a hospital.

But she only smiled cruelly.

“What? Looking like this, you still want to see my man? How could I let you leave?”

“I’ll keep teaching you until I’ve had enough.”

She kicked me again, making me cry out in agony, her laughter ringing through the room.

She commanded the dogs once more, and they lunged at me again.

I tried desperately to crawl away, but I was far too weak.

Just when despair was about to swallow me, the gated community’s security guard, Michael Harris, rushed in.

Seeing the scene, he charged forward and drove the dogs away.

“What’s going on here? I’m the real owner of this villa. That’s a thief trying to steal from me, and you dare to stop me?”

Chloe shouted arrogantly,

“I’ll have your job for this!”

Michael ignored her and instead hurried to my side, checking my injuries.

“Miss Carter, are you all right?”

He knew me and knew very well who the real owner of this mansion was.

“Call the police. And an ambulance—quickly!”
