Revenge of Ameera: The Rejected Mate
Chapter 7
"When will she wake up?" a short-haired girl asked her friend who was busy tidying up the room.
"I don't know, Anne. Roger said maybe in a few days or a few hours?" The young man replied with a counter-question.
"I ask, you ask back. Why are you so annoying, Jack?"
Anne glared with annoyance, she couldn't understand her partner's way of thinking.
"Your fault, why ask me?"
"You are! I'm going to... Jack! Look at her eyes starting to open!" squealed Anne changing her sentence when she saw Ameera who was starting to open her eyes.
Jack immediately approached Anne and joined her in staring curiously at Ameera.
"Looks like she's about to wake up!" said Anne happily.
Anne and some people in her group had long ago found Ameera dying in the middle of the forest of death. They decided to take care of her and bring her back to the base. Seeing Ameera's terrible condition at that time, the rogues who found her felt sorry for her. Instead of ignoring her.
Because rogues are werewolves who are outcasts and do not belong to any pack, their lives are also sad because there is no value in the eyes of other immortal world residents. Moreover, the werewolves who are members of a pack very often look down on them, it is not uncommon for rogues like them to be captured and used as material for them to practice.
Indeed, rogues are wild wolves who often attack others, but not all rogues are evil and bloodthirsty. Ameera was an example of this.
Ameera had now opened her eyes, her nerves shrinking as she took in the incoming light. She blinked her eyes a few times to adjust to the light.
"Who are you?" asked Ameera flatly when she could see clearly.
The two people in front of her looked very unfamiliar, but they didn't look like they wanted to hurt her either.
"He can talk, Jack!" Anne sounded like she was seeing someone talk for the first time.
"I guess we'll have to check your stupidity after this, Roger!" said Jack irritably.
"It's you!"
"Hi! I'm Jack, and this is Anne. You are currently at our place, you should rest first. Your body hasn't fully recovered yet." Jack answered Ameera's question cheerfully.
He was a little mesmerized by Ameera's beauty when he realized, it was much more beautiful when he opened his eyes. Jack thought.
"Right! You rest first, Jack will bring some food for you," Anne said, getting closer to Ameera.
Ameera just stared flatly at the two.
'So they're the ones who've been making noise since yesterday?' Ameera's mind looked strangely at the two people in front of her.
"Why me? You're the one talking! You should be the one moving," Jack said, not accepting Anne's suggestion.
"You're a man, how can a man be in the same room with a woman!" exclaimed Anne in a wise tone.
"What do you mean, why not?" Jack asked in a stupid tone when he didn't understand Anne's words.
"You idiot! You better get lost!"
Anne immediately pushed Jack's body out of the room where Ameera was staying, now she stepped back to the side of Ameera who was just silent.
"What's your name?" asked Anne as she returned to her seat.
The twinkles of the story seemed to be unconcealable on her beautiful face, making Ameera feel a little funny as she stared at Anne's face.
"Ameera Alcmene," Ameera replied without changing her expression.
"May I call you Ameera?"
"Of course," Ameera replied.
"I'm Anne, just call me beautiful Anne."
Anne with a high level of confidence stared at Ameera with admiration, Ameera's face was fascinating to her.
Ameera noticed where she was, a room with wooden walls and a floor. There wasn't much there, just a small closet and the bed she was sitting on.
Suddenly Ameera felt her ears buzzing, she moved to cover her ears hoping it would get rid of what was bothering her.
"Ameera? What's wrong with you!" Anne said frantically, she was afraid something would happen to Ameera.
But she couldn't leave her alone.
"Ameera! Did you hear me?"
Ameera ignored Anne's panicked voice, she couldn't handle the buzzing in her ears. Making her prefer to ignore Anne for a moment.
However, there seemed to be something happening again that made Anne exclaim, "Ameera! There's a mark appearing on your forehead!"
Anne continued to watch the engraving that slowly appeared on Ameera's forehead, the white light seemed to make a crescent-like pattern. But she didn't know that other marks were also appearing on Ameera's body.
Ameera continued to endure the pain until it slowly began to fade, and the light that appeared on her forehead also faded.
"Are you okay?" asked Anne anxiously.
She looked at Ameera's thin body carefully, how surprised she was when she realized that not a single scar remained.
Whereas before Ameera's body was full of scars that they clearly knew would never disappear.
"Ameera! Your body is clean, look, not a single scar left," Anne exclaimed happily, she felt happy for Ameera.
Because while taking care of her, Anne often cried imagining what Ameera had gone through to get such severe injuries.
"You're right," said Ameera as she looked at her body which was back to normal.
She even felt refreshed now.
"Here's a mirror, look at that mark on your forehead!" said Anne as she handed Ameera a mirror.
Ameera accepted it without hesitation. Her eyes widened when she saw the mark on her forehead.
An intricate carving shaped like a crescent moon, it didn't seem to be something simple.
"What is that mark?" asked Anne in confusion, unable to tear her gaze away from the beautiful size.
"But Ameera, there seems to be something I'm missing."
Anne returned her attention to Ameera's appearance which she thought was different, but she had yet to find the difference.
"What?"
"I don't know, I don't ta... Oh my god! Your hair changed color!" She squealed as she noticed another change in Ameera's body.
