Chapter 8

Ameera looked back at her face in the mirror. It was true what Anne said, her black hair had disappeared.

"Are you the Moon Goddess?" asked Anne stupidly, she was completely amazed by the events she witnessed with her own eyes.

"Of course not," Ameera replied flatly.

"You're so amazing! You're many times more beautiful than before!" Anne exclaimed happily, she was very enthusiastic about Ameera's transformation.

Ameera just smiled a little at Anne's ramblings.

She understood that this was the result of the moon goddess' blessing on her.

There was no confusion in her, the current Ameera was the new and vengeful Ameera.

"Anne, can you take me to meet the leader here?" asked Ameera calmly, she wanted to know the place and who had been willing to help her.

"But you just woke up," said Anne worriedly.

"It's okay, I feel better already." Ameera persuaded with an expressionless face.

"All right, let me help you." Anne began to help Ameera off the bed.

They walked slowly outside.

"Does anything hurt?" asked Anne.

"Nothing, you don't have to worry too much."

"Oh yeah! I told Jack to get some food, that's where the old rat went!"

Anne continued to ramble on throughout their journey to the leader's place.

Ameera more or less had an idea about them and how they could help her from Anne's story, although it was incomplete. Because Anne said she wasn't the one who brought Ameera here.

Ameera was grateful that at least her body wasn't found by a vicious rogue or else her history would be over!

"Here we are, this is Roger's room. Roger likes to shut himself in here, just a moment." Anne moved slowly to open the door where Roger, the leader was.

Ameera waited quietly, she was a little curious about Roger who was willing to help her.

"Roger! Are you in there? I brought Ameera, the sick girl. She wants to see you," Anne said quietly.

"Come in, Anne."

Roger's reply made Anne smile a little, she quickly brought Ameera in and closed the door.

Roger, who sat facing Ameera, stared in amazement at Ameera who looked different from before.

Ameera's appearance was truly like a moon goddess. It made him unable to believe what he saw.

"Sit down, I'll make some drinks for you!" said Anne as she left, leaving Ameera and Roger.

Ameera looked closely at Roger, a strapping body that was manly and powerful. A masculine face with a sharp jaw. It made her certain that the figure before her was no ordinary Rogue leader.

"Your name is Ameera?" Roger said, opening his heavy voice.

After regaining his senses, Roger began to speak to Ameera.

"Yes, I came to thank you."

"There's no need to thank you, it's my duty to help people who are in trouble." Roger looked at Ameera about shady, there seemed to be something he was hiding.

However, Ameera did not know what it was. Maybe someday she would find out.

"Can you tell me where you found me? What was my condition at that time?"

Roger sighed heavily at Ameera's question.

"Okay."

Roger began to tell the story of when he found Ameera.

"The pack and I were trying to get to a new place because our old place wasn't safe anymore. You know, the life of a Rogue? Well, that's why we kept moving to different places.

This time the choice was the forest of death because few dared to enter there.

While on the way, I accidentally smelled a very thick blood odor from your direction. At first, I chose to ignore it and continue on my way because I thought you were dead, but I felt an air of life from a distance. It seems that the moon goddess loves you very much, doesn't she?" Roger explained with a chuckle.

Ameera just listened silently to Roger's story, she didn't want to interrupt him.

"I came closer, who would have thought I would find a dying girl? Your whole body is full of wounds, making me grimace. Imagining what suffering you had gone through to end up there, made me unable to ignore it.

I finally decided to take you with us, they didn't mind. They also thought the same as me, so we took care of you during this time." Roger continued with a sad look.

He still couldn't imagine how hard things were for Ameera.

"How long have I been unconscious?"

"One year, it's been a year since you've been here. Even though there were a few setbacks in your condition, you always survived and came back fine." Roger looked at Ameera's bead with a strange feeling.

Ameera was devastated after hearing Roger's words, she remembered Zee who had left her.

"Are you crying?"

Ameera didn't answer Roger's question, she let her tears fall.

"Do you know how to bring back a dead wolf?" She said softly.

Roger froze at Ameera's words, what did she mean?

"It's impossible, isn't it?" asked Roger tensely.

"That's right, my wolf is dead." Ameera cried loudly, her heart aching.

Roger looked at Ameera with a regretful gaze, he couldn't believe that the girl in front of him had even lost her wolf. It was a great calamity for a werewolf.

'Who could have done such a heinous thing to this weak girl?' Roger thought angrily.

"So what are you going to do now?" asked Roger quietly, he was furious.

Ameera stopped crying, she remembered she had to get revenge. Now was the time!

She roughly wiped away the tears that had fallen down her face.

"I will avenge them!" Ameera answered Roger's question with determination.

This time she wouldn't be a weakling who could be bullied by anyone!

"All right, I'll support you! Let's get your revenge," Roger warmly welcomed Ameera, he knew it wasn't easy for the girl to survive with just a grudge.

"No need, Roger. I don't want to involve you guys in my revenge mission," Ameera refused.

She knew what Roger meant. Ameera did not want anyone to sacrifice for her, nor did she want to depend on anyone.

"It's okay, everyone here has long wanted to avenge themselves. But we don't have the ability. Living as a rogue is already difficult, let alone seeking revenge. We're not ready to accept failure," Roger explained confidently.

Ameera was transfixed by Roger's answer, she didn't expect to find people who shared the same fate as her. She was even more determined to get justice for herself and those who had helped her!

"All right, I agree! Do you have a plan?"
