Chapter 3

"We are responsible for what we say. Whether to keep the baby or not is up to you."

My words made her even more embarrassed.

"John... What if this child indeed has a heart disease, and we can't cure it?"

"No, it won't be like that. With the advanced technology nowadays, all diseases can be cured."

"Is that so... But what if? I mean, what if it can't be cured?"

"I got it now. She didn't want to keep this child from the beginning. I ended up causing harm to her by keeping the child for her."

"Then... should we not keep it?"

"But this child doesn't come easily, you know."

She complained in John's arms.

John seemed a little impatient, frowning and asking, "So what do you want to do?"

"I... I don't know. I'm asking for your opinion, okay?" She blushed, seemingly afraid to confront John.

John waved his hand casually and got up to answer a call, saying, "Do whatever you want."

"John! You... " She looked very embarrassed after being humiliated by him.

I glanced at her and continued to smile.

"Kate, go back first if you don't have anything else. You have taken up the consultation time of other patients. You can't cut in line because of your relationship with me."

"Who... who said I cut in line? I am your aunt. It's normal for me to come to you for a pregnancy check-up. Why do you separate public and private matters like this?"

She snorted and walked away with her bag.
