Chapter 4

I instructed everyone in the department.

"If Kate is here again in the future, don't assign her to my department."

"I can't afford such a patient, who is difficult to deal with."

"Dr. Sue, but for this disease... The child can be kept. She is your aunt, right? Can't you fight for her a bit? I don't think she wants to give it up."

"Fight for what? Since she doesn't want it, we don't need to help her. We should respect others' fate, let go of the desire to help others, and enjoy an immoral life."

"Sure enough, once I care about other people's business, I feel much more relaxed."

On the way home, I deliberately bought an extra piece of cake to reward myself for my hard work.

"Libby, your daughter's words are too harsh. I asked her whether I should keep the child or not, but she couldn't give me a definite answer. If it's not possible... can't she help me check whether it's a boy or a girl?"

She muttered.

But I found clues from it.

"It turns out that she wants to know whether the child in her belly a boy or a girl is."

"No wonder her face was so pale when the child was born."

"Natalya, haven't you always been good to your aunt? Just tell her whether she should keep the child in her belly or not. Then she can feel at ease."

I sighed, saying, "Mom, I can't guarantee that. Although I am a doctor, my medical skills are not proficient. I have studied so much that it's all in vain. I can't help Kate. She'd better go to a better hospital for a check-up."

"No need, I have a prescription here. As long as I drink it, the baby will be healthy and strong, and it is guaranteed to be a boy."

Kate's mother-in-law, Linda, brought out a pot of dark and smelly stuff from the kitchen, which carried a strong and pungent smell.
