Rebirth: Giving Up on Saving Foolish Family Members

My mom never went to school and had always been stubborn and ignorant, but Cathy finished junior high school.

I didn't believe she didn't know this common sense, but she was too weak to dare to go against my mother.

After lunch, Cathy went to take a nap, while my mother was still making shoes for her grandson.

In the hot summer, with no air conditioning at home, my mother was sweating profusely.

I couldn't bear to watch, so I casually said, "Mom, the children's clothes, shoes, and hats are not expensive in the city. Today I accompanied Cathy to buy a lot. You don't have to work so hard."

My mother gave me a glare and scolded me.

"What's so good about something made by a machine? This is something I made with my own hands for my great-grandson. He knows it's made by his grandmother, so he will definitely be closer to me!"

While speaking, Cathy rubbed her eyes and walked out.

My mom looked at her round and big belly and smiled with her eyes squinted.

"Look, my grandson must be very impressive, otherwise she wouldn't have such a big belly!"

I sighed helplessly in my heart, although I knew the truth.

But it would only be worse if I couldn't say it now.

Since Cathy got pregnant, she has enjoyed all the love from the family.

She actually wanted me to drop out of school now?

I immediately objected. "Mom! If I give up studying now, it would be a waste of all the years you supported me. Besides, Edward and Cathy only finished junior high school and can only do odd jobs. If I go to college, I will definitely earn more money for the family!"

My mother lowered her head and didn't say anything, and Cathy chimed in with a sarcastic tone.

"Although your brother and I may not be well-educated and earn a lot of money, at least we can continue the family line. Can you do that?"
