Rebirth: Giving Up on Saving Foolish Family Members Chapter 1

My sister-in-law, Cathy White, has been pregnant for eight months but has never had a prenatal examination.

I persuaded her to have a prenatal examination, but my whole family opposed it.

"What's the point of checking? That machine will affect the intelligence of my grandson!"

My mom angrily accused me. I advised Cathy to believe in medicine.

As a result, it was found that there was a five-pound stone in Cathy's belly.

My mom grabbed my neck and said that I had caused the death of the child.

Cordelia said that I was jealous of her and deliberately cursed her child into a stone.

They took me to the back mountain, beat me to death, and buried me.

When I opened my eyes again, I was reborn before having a prenatal examination with Cathy.

In this life, I will never repeat the same mistakes. I want them to reap what they have sown!

——

In my previous life, my mother and my sister-in-law, Cathy, were very ignorant.

Cathy was eight months pregnant, but she never went for prenatal checkups. I was very surprised.

I tried to convince her to believe in modern medicine and get some checks done.

But my mother got angry when she heard my words.

She accused me of intentionally trying to make her grandson stupid because she thought the machines in the checkup room would affect the baby's intelligence.

Cathy was naturally weak, and although she was nervous, she didn't dare to speak up.

But I convinced her based on my responsibility for the future of the White family.

So the next morning, while my mother went to the town to do some shopping, I secretly took Cathy to the hospital for a checkup.

The result was that Cathy was not even pregnant, and there was a five-pound stone in her stomach.

Back home, I didn't hide the truth and told my mother about it.

My mother went crazy immediately and choked me, accusing me of having bad intentions.

She said that it was because I said there was something wrong with Cathy's baby that I brought bad luck to him.

Cathy didn't want to take the responsibility either and said that I must have used some evil magic to curse the baby. Otherwise, how could her stomach baby suddenly turn into a stone?

My mother and Cathy were also afraid of not being able to explain to my brother who was working hard in a distant city.

One afternoon, they tricked me into a field in the mountains and beat me to death.

Then they buried me in the field and used me as fertilizer, but they told others that I had gone to work in a distant city.

Now, looking at my well-prepared sister-in-law, I know that I have been reborn.

I was reborn on the same day that I convinced Cathy to go to the hospital for a checkup.

I smiled, took Cathy's bag, and drove the tricycle out.

We soon arrived at the entrance of the hospital, but I didn't stop, which surprised Cathy.

"Sophia, we have already passed the hospital, didn't you see it?"

I continued driving nonchalantly.

"Cathy, I thought about it carefully last night, and what you and Mom said is right. The baby is already so big, what could be the problem? No need to check, the women in our family have never been so delicate. Just wait for my chubby nephew to be born safely!"

I noticed that Cathy's face relaxed, and she was delighted with what I said.

"Exactly, last night when you insisted on getting a check-up, I was also worried. I didn't want to disappoint your kindness, so I agreed to come with you. But actually, I also think what Mom said is right. My body is not that delicate."

"That's good. Then let's go into town and take a leisurely stroll."

We rode an electric tricycle around the city aimlessly, and I bought a lot of clothes for the baby.

We were in high spirits all the way back home until it was almost noon.

As soon as we entered the house, I gulped down a bucketful of cold water from the well.

Cathy also stretched out her hand to scoop some, but my mother slapped her hand.

"You've been rambling around all morning. How dare you drink cold water? Do you want to kill my grandson? Here, drink this!" said my mother, as she handed Cathy a bowl of medicine.

I knew that it was the concoction that my mother had been making by hand for Cathy since she became pregnant.

She said it was good for the baby, and it was so bitter that Cathy had to hold her nose every time she drank it.

Cathy was sweating profusely and looked very pained as she drank the medicine. My mother then slapped me on the back of my head.

"Look at you, you can't even behave during summer vacation. If you accidentally hurt my grandson, I won't spare you!"

I sighed in my heart. How my mother kept mentioning her grandson all the time.

I wondered what she would think if she knew that Cathy's belly contained nothing but a stone.
