Chapter 1

During my confinement period, my mother-in-law posted contraception items that my husband and I use during intimate moments on TikTok.

She captioned it: [Young people nowadays really have no restraint. They haven't even finished confinement but are already luring men.]

I immediately posted a photo of my mother-in-law cheating with my father-in-law's brother beneath it.

With the caption: [Older folks really have more tricks up their sleeves.]

Just after putting the baby to sleep, I opened TikTok wanting to scroll through videos and relax a little.

Adeptly, I clicked on the message bar, replying one by one to friends and family who shared videos with me.

As I scrolled down, I unexpectedly saw a TikTok shared by a stranger asking me [Grace, is this you?]

Looking at the avatar, I recognized it as a former colleague from my previous job and then clicked on the shared video. As soon as I opened the video and saw the caption, my face turned beet red.

The video was secretly taken by my mother-in-law this morning when she called me to get up and make breakfast for Joshua Lynn. In the video, I was sleeping soundly on Joshua's arm, the camera panned right revealing a blurry condom, then suddenly zoomed in to intentionally enlarge the image of the condom.

Fury coursed through me, my heart pounding fiercely. Just last night, it was her son begging me and I couldn't bear to refuse, but now she's spreading rumors online.

It seems feeling sorry for a man really leads to bad luck.

The whole time shuddering, I shared the video with Joshua Lynn and told him to quickly tell his mom to delete it.

TikTok's friend recommendation feature is incredibly strong; even my former colleague saw the video.

I shudder to think what Mom, Dad, neighbors, and relatives would think if they saw this video!

After a while, Joshua's message came through [Isn't what my mom said true? You were pretty enthusiastic last night!] Followed by two vulgar emojis.

Looking at Joshua's words, my heart throbbed with pain, my blood freezing, I took a deep breath, looked at the baby beside me, and forced myself to calm down.

I immediately stood up and went to my mother-in-law's room, getting straight to the point [Mom, delete the TikTok video you posted this morning.]

My mother-in-law pretended to be clueless [What TikTok video? Haven't you been following me? I haven't posted anything today!]

Noticing her phone's screen was still on, I snatched the phone from her hand, opened TikTok, and checked her posts; the top pinned video was indeed mine.

I clicked on it to delete it, but my mother-in-law rammed me in the stomach, making the phone fly out.

Ignoring the pain in my belly, I picked up the phone only to find the screen shattered beyond use.

Meanwhile, my mother-in-law gloated beside me [The phone is broken, lucky for me, my son will just have to buy me a new one.]

Back in my room, I watched the video my mother-in-law posted over and over; it already had 1000 likes and over 2000 comments.

The comments criticized the daughter-in-law, some remarked on her looks, asking if she wanted to hang out as insults flooded the section.

Just as I was about to screenshot and send them to Joshua, the baby awoke, forcing me to set the phone aside to tend to the baby.

When Joshua came home from work at night, he first complained about me breaking his mother's phone, saying it would cost money to get a new one.
