“Olivia! please don't argue with Xavier.” The tense atmosphere was broken as Veronica entered making Xavier go to her quickly.
"Why did you come here?" He asked her in anxiousess as he clutched her shoulders gently.
“I was worried about Olivia. Xavier, please forgive her stubbornness for this once? I am sorry Olivia but I heard that you were arguing with Xavier…If I was you I would have never fought with my husband and been obedient.
I-I know that you are the daughter of Alpha Ethan and were raised as a pampered daughter but didn’t you rebel against your father in order to marry Xavier?
Even more, you have such a weak wolf and have nobody who can protect you from all the hatred and criticism apart from Alpha Xavier so you should learn to be a little gentle. Why will others think if they heard you talking so badly?"
I looked at the couple who made my life hell and did not utter a single word.
“Don’t bother with her Veronica, Olivia is not in her right mind.” Xavier glared at me showing his displeasure.
Looking at the untouched food in front of me she sniffled pretending to be deeply concerned.
“How can you be so careless Olivia? Xavier was so worried about you that he stayed here all night waiting for you to wake up. If you are still picky with your food, how would you fulfill your duties as a Luna and wife?"
"If someone heard you, they will think that you know being Luna better than me!" I snapped.
“Olivia!” Xavier growled slowly in a warning. "You can fool Grandmother but by now the entire pack knows that you have a faulty womb! You have been nothing but a matter of shame for me!
Mom has already started searching for a new bride and if you don't learn you will be discarded sooner or later!
"Do whatever you feel like." I said coldly.
"What?!"
“Please Xavier, Olivia is sick.” Veronica pouted, acting spoiled making Xavier gulp down the harsh words he wanted to say to me.
“See Olivia, I have brought all your favorite dishes for lunch, do you remember how I learned so many cuisines just to please you, I used to cook for you in our childhood because you only wanted me to serve you and I hoped that today too I can do something similar.”
Veronica was an orphan abandoned by her rogue parents on the boundary of Silver Moon Pack when she was five years old.
My father- Alpha Ethan of Silver Moon Pack wished to send her back yet it was me who stupidly thought she was pitiful and decided to bring her home with me and let her be raised in complete luxury and love like my own sister.
When Gina presented me with a homemade lunchbox and urged me to eat, Xavier was furious to see the burn mark on her hand.
“You are already so fragile! How can you do such meager tasks without worrying about your own safety at all! If anything Olivia should cook for you! She is always sitting at home so why are you trying to spoil her more!”
I smiled through tears when my mate openly protected another woman completely disregarding the fact that he used to call me ‘pretentious’ when I was sick and couldn’t work for even a day, similar marks had littered all across my hands when my mother-in-law asked me to cook for tens of guests without a break yet he never bothered.
“You are so damn concerned about her, if I didn't know any better I would have thought that you were her husband and not mine.” I gritted my teeth in anger, my insides churning painfully when my heart was agitated.
Xavier clenched his fists but was stopped when Veronica held his hand under the glass table.
“Please don't say that Olivia! You are my best friend and the true luna of Blood Moon Pack,. I cannot even dare to think of separating you two.”
Xavier’s jaw clenched when Gina declared that they had no relationship.
“If you are so guilty then you can pack your belongings and leave!” My words died on my tongue when the very next moment a sharp sting burned my cheek as Xavier slapped me hard in fury, the impact making me fall on the ground in terror.
Blood dripped down the corner of my mouth making Xavier take a step back as his hand trembled in mid-air when his eyes met mine filled with pain and agony.
“You..you should not have been so stubborn Olivia, I don't think you need any treatment anymore! Go wait at home for me, we will sort this soon!” Looking at me sharply, Willam got up storming outside in fury with his arm taking Veronica away.
