My Husband's Mistress Looks Like Me
Chapter 2
"...do you expect him to have only one woman for the rest of his life?!" The woman's barking words rang out again in Sherry's ears.
She took his shirt and looked for a moment at the man on the bed with whom she had been for ten long years. She witnessed him going from an ordinary young man to the newly rich of Squareburg.
The next morning.
Pacey woke up and subconsciously reached out to wrap his arms around the woman beside him, but he only caught air.
He sat up and the pain in his head told him how much wine he had drunk yesterday.
He pinched his temples with his fingers, and in the corner of his eye, he saw a shirt lying flat on a chair, with its collar turned out and a noticeable lipstick marked on it.
Pacey's fingers paused. He suddenly snatched the covers off and stood up, taking a few steps forward and holding yesterday's shirt in his hands, with fingers tightening slowly.
"Time for breakfast."
Standing in the doorway, Sherry called him peacefully, as if she had not seen the shirt in his hand at all.
But Pacey knew that she must have seen it.
"Yesterday, at a dinner party, someone fell after drinking too much, and I gave her a hand." At the table, Sherry didn't say anything, and Pacey explained after thinking about an excuse, "It should be that time that I accidentally got lipstick marks."
Sherry listened quietly and suddenly lifted her eyes, "Pacey, do you have an affair?"
She asked very straightly, without any foreshadowing or covering up or warning.
She always thought that since they were married, there was no need to be scheming like strangers. They could talk about anything.
A subtle light flashed in Pacey's deep eyes. "No." He said.
Sherry smiled after hearing his words: "Hurry up. As a boss, you can't take the lead in being late."
He said no, then no.
Just like back then, when the two joined hands to establish the Sherry-Grant Group, he said it was enough for him to earn money alone to support the family, and she agreed.
Money and status, in her opinion, were not as important as his love.
Before going out, Pacey grabbed her slender waist and kissed her cheek: "Wait for me."
Sherry-Grant Group.
Pacey sat at a big desk, with his fingers propping on the desktop, and his knuckles tapping against it.
"Dong -"
"Dong -"
“……”
He took out his mobile phone and dialed a number. A woman's joyful and charming voice came over at once, "Pacey~~"
"Wynne Jones, you're out." He said coldly.
Wynne forced a smile, "What are you talking about?"
Pacey said: "Get out of my sight and don't let me see you again."
Only then did Wynne realize that he was not joking, and being frightened, she said, "Why? What am I doing wrong? Tell me, I can correct them. I can do anything for you."
Pacey stood in front of the french window with his hands folded, without any ups and downs in his voice: "You shouldn't let her know your existence. Leave by yourself, and don't make me do it."
She was just a plaything that never qualified to show off in front of his beloved honey!
"No -"
Wynne wanted to say something, but Pacey was not interested in continuing the phone call.
Wynne tried to call back, only to find Pacey had blackened her. She clenched her phone, with her eyes full of unwillingness.
It must be Sherry!
It must be because Sherry told Pacey about the photo behind her back that he broke up with her!
At Laneshire.
Shirley was reading. She felt a little tired unknowingly and fell asleep on the sofa. Recently, she became more and more lethargic and was always easily tired.
She was awakened by a hurried knock at the door, and outside the door, there was an aggressive woman she never met before.
"You are...?" She asked.
Wynne glared at her viciously for a few seconds and suddenly lifted her slap.
