Belinda clearly didn't expect me to respond like that. She stared at me for a moment before saying, "It doesn't have to be a divorce. What if it affects Jaxton's company? A man of his status, having a mistress is pretty normal. You're living off Jaxton; you shouldn't be so selfish."

I snorted, thinking, "She just doesn't get the pain until it hits her personally, huh? How can she say such shameless things?"

"First of all, I have a stake in Jaxton's company, too. I'm a shareholder and get my share every year. The money I spend is mine. Secondly, you might lack dignity and morality, but I have them.

"And lastly, I wish you and your grandson well!"

I had no intention of revealing the truth right now—at least not until after the divorce.

I wanted to see their reactions once they were emotionally invested and then hit them with the truth. That would be something to watch.

After sending Jaxton a text to meet at our old spot, I went to find my friend Rebecca Amore, the doctor who had done our pre-marital checkup.

Rebecca vented, clearly furious and almost ready to take matters into her own hands against the Munoz family.

After finally calming Rebecca down, I was about to leave when I saw Jaxton with the woman who was expecting their child.
