Chapter 4

It was actually an accident that I married Austin.

At that time, he and his five brothers were sent by Howard Hayes, their father, to negotiate business in the front line of the company, and only the most outstanding one could become the heir of the Hayes Group.

Austin was determined, but he was drugged just before he was about to finalize the largest order.

If he went to the hospital, the opportunity to sign the contract would be taken away by his second brother.

I happened to be working part-time at the hotel at that time and happened to pass by Austin's room when I was pushing a food cart.

He said "I will compensate you" to me. Then he pushed me down, used me as an antidote, and successfully signed the contract before the agreed time.

Austin's second brother, Austin, was furious and called a bunch of reporters to block the door of the hotel, hoping to see me crying and running out, claiming to have been raped by Austin, in order to pull Austin down from his position as the heir.

But I was Austin's junior sister, and I had a secret crush on him for three years.

When Austin proposed to marry me to preserve both of our reputations, I felt like I had won the lottery and was so excited that I couldn't even say a word of refusal.

After marriage, we did have a period of sweet and harmonious days.

But all of this came to an end on the night Rita returned to the country.

She brought up the secret love diary I had posted on Twitter and said.

"How could she coincidentally appear at the hotel door? All of this is just a scheme she played. Yvette, this scheming woman, wanted to climb up the social ladder!"

Seeing that Austin didn't believe her, Rita added.

"She got pregnant in one go. It's obvious that she calculated the dates and wanted to be part of your family! Maybe she was the one who drugged you that day, Austin!"

Austin had just experienced a battle for the throne and deeply despised people with ulterior motives.

After she said this, he indeed wavered.

No matter how I explained it, he firmly believed that this marriage was part of my scheme.

Vita Curtis, his mom, heard from someone that my baby could bring wealth and prosperity to the Hayes family.

Otherwise, Austin would have probably taken me to the hospital for an abortion already.

Since then, Rita's name had become a curse, always lingering around my ears.

She was there on every important occasion, including my wedding anniversary, my birthday parties, Bobby's first birthday banquet, and even his appendectomy hospitalization.

As long as Rita made a phone call, Austin would immediately leave us and go to her.

It was said that the healthy growth of a child required a healthy family.

For Bobby, I endured for eighteen years.

But now Bobby had lost his life because of this bitch couple.

I'd make them pay the price!
