My Husband Got Another Woman Pregnant Chapter 1
I accidentally bumped into a young pregnant woman, who immediately made a sweetly tearful call, "Hubby, someone wants to hurt our baby."
Moments later, an angry man showed up and that man was my husband of seven years.
——
In the seventh year of my marriage to Derek Tyson, I still hadn't been able to conceive. We had discussed trying IVF and after many rounds of hormone injections and several failed attempts, I was finally successful.
Whenever he saw me lying awake in pain, he would hold me from behind, soothing me, "It's okay, sweetheart. We don't have to do this."
He told me that we could be happy even without a child and that we could always adopt if it came to that. I knew the pressure his family put on him and I knew he loved children.
I decided to try one last time. After my hospital visit, I got great news—I was finally pregnant! I wanted to share it with him right away, but he was in a meeting and couldn't take my call.
Just as I was making a turn, I had a minor collision with another car and even though it was just a slight scrape, I was startled to see that the other driver was a visibly pregnant woman, who turned pale with shock.
In a delicate voice, she cried over the phone, "Hubby, she almost hurt our baby. Come quickly, someone's bullying a helpless pregnant woman."
After she got out of her car, belly forward and arrogant, she looked at me with disdain. I didn't put up with it, "You're the one who hit me. How dare you turn it around on me?"
Just as I was about to argue, her reaction changed strangely. She offered her phone, saying she'd compensate me and that her husband had plenty of money!
She took out her phone to add me to her contacts and I noticed her profile picture, it matched the style of Derek's.
My heart sank as I realized her username was "Miss Fox," and just recently, Derek had changed his name to include a little fox icon.
I accepted her payment and returned to my car, preparing to leave.
Suddenly, I saw Derek hurrying over to her side, looking deeply concerned, "Are you hurt? Didn't I arrange a driver for you?"
"Aww, I'm just clumsy and couldn't even handle the car," she whimpered as he gently comforted her and then helped her into his own car.
He hadn't given me a single glance, his full attention absorbed by that woman. I gripped the steering wheel, my heart sinking to the pit of my stomach as my hands shook.
I watched him rush off to buy her tacos from a street vendor. He didn't mind at all that it was street food, he even took a bite to check the temperature before handing it to her.
I lowered my head and looked through the woman's circle of friends. They were all photos showing affection, except the man's face was not visible. The most recent one was taken just now. "The world's delicious tacos, bought by my husband and fed to me himself."
Scrolling down, I saw photos of him accompanying her to medical checkups on days he had told me he was on a business trip and of him gifting her the latest limited-edition designer items at the earliest opportunity.
The honking car behind me brought me back to reality, I realized how long I'd been sitting there. I tried to hold it in, but tears fell anyway.
Derek and I had been together since our school days, marrying right after graduation. At that time, I was still the Sylvester Family's eldest daughter, while he was just from an ordinary background.
My mother was against our marriage, but I secretly registered our marriage with him. In the beginning, we didn't even have a proper wedding.
