Damn Husband, Don’t Even Think About Remarrying! Chapter 1

The night before our wedding, my husband, Chris Walker, was hugging a model in his arms, lecturing me in front of everyone.

"Chloe Kade, you only live once. Go find some fun yourself, don't keep all your feelings tied up with me. It's kind of creepy!"

I did just as he wished. I had sex with his best friend, Brad Watson.

Chris panicked, rushing out of the villa, kneeling, and begging me to come home.

I was holding Brad's waist and couldn't stand well.

"You only live once, that's what you said. "

I went to catch him at the bar.

Chris was passionately kissing a young girl who sat in his lap, rubbing against him with enthusiasm.

It was heating the onlookers.

Chris tenderly caressed the girl's waist.

"Baby, you're genuinely irresistible," he whispered.

"Stop it!"

The girl pouted with a playful grunt.

I stood at the doorway, silently watching the two of them.

It was until Chris's friend couldn't hold back and alerted Chris.

"Chris, your wife is here!"

Only then did Chris reluctantly let go of the girl, his hand still lingering on her waist.

It wasn't the first time I caught him cheating; over three years, I've lost count of how many times.

Previously, Chris would get a heads-up and quickly arrange for the girl to leave, and then he’d try to sweet-talk me afterward.

Maybe it was because it happened too often. This time, Chris didn’t bother to pretend.

"Chloe, aren't you tired? Always catching me," he said.

"You only live once! You should try being with someone else, too. It's pretty scary how you're fixated on just me!" he added.

I smirked, looking at the man in front of me.

He stopped pretending, and somehow, I wasn't as upset.

I had loved Chris for three years, and after graduation, our families arranged an engagement.

He agreed, and I was thrilled,

Thinking we would follow the set path of a lifetime together.

But after the engagement, Chris kept finding other women, and I, repeatedly catching him, became a joke among our circle.

"Here, Chris," I said as I took off the crystal necklace around my neck and threw it at Chris.

He didn't catch it; the necklace hit the ground and shattered.

He looked at me incredulously, anger in his eyes.

He hand-carved the crystal necklace as our engagement token.

Over the years, I've treasured it like a precious gem, not letting anyone touch it.

I vaguely remember someone carelessly touching it once.

I lost my temper right there and harshly scolded them.

After that, everyone knew how much I cherished that crystal necklace because it was from Chris.

And today, I returned the necklace to him and even smashed it.

"Chloe, are you crazy? You smashed the crystal necklace!"

"I'm not crazy. I'm officially notifying you today that I'm calling off our engagement. We're not getting our marriage certificate tomorrow. Don't forget to inform your family."

My gaze was calm.

Chris suddenly pushed the girl in his arms away.

"Chloe, you've really done it, calling off the marriage. Don't you dare come back begging me?"

I ignored Chris and walked away with long strides.

Chris's best friend Brad tried to persuade him.

"She looks furious, even smashing the crystal necklace. You should go and make it up to her."

Although Chris was upset, he still respected Brad's status.

After all, Brad was the beloved young master of the Watson family.

"It's okay, Mr. Watson; there's no need to appease her. She's just blowing off steam. Who doesn't know Chloe is too used to dote on me? She'll be fine in a couple of days.

"Tomorrow morning, she'll definitely come over to coax me, make me hangover remedy, and beg me to get the certificate with her."

"I see. You guys have fun."

Brad got up and left without staying longer.

Once Brad left, the whole private room got lively again.

Everyone was even more unrestrained than before.
