Chapter 3

I thought to myself that the situation was not good and kept struggling to retreat. One of them grabbed my arm and poured wine into my mouth, regardless of anything.

I endured the pain in my stomach and kicked him hard in the crotch. Seeing him dodge with a hideous face, I didn’t have time to breathe a sigh of relief before someone grabbed my hair tightly.

“You bitch, you dare not drink a toast. Today, we will let you see how powerful we are!”

The next second, I was pushed into the pool and the juice suddenly choked into my nose. I struggled hard in pain.

“Bitch, do you dare to make Miss Schuman angry?”

The man’s movements became more and more violent. Seeing that I gradually lost the strength to struggle, he laughed triumphantly.

“Don’t be so rough. Callie is a girl, after all.”

I listened to Lane’s hypocritical dissuasion and pushed the man away with all my strength, looking at her with cold eyes.

“If anything happens to my child today, I will not let you go!”

Lane raised her eyebrows at me proudly, turned around and threw herself into Doran’s arms aggrievedly.

“Doran, Callie is really blaming me. I don’t expect any fairness. Let her go. I just almost died. It’s not worth it to make Callie unhappy because of me…”

“Callie, that’s enough! Because of you, Lane suffered so much for no reason. Can you die if you apologize?” Doran hurriedly comforted the woman in his arms, looking at me with disgust in his eyes.

I sneered, but the next second I felt a sudden pain in my stomach, as if something was flowing out.

Suddenly, a scream sounded in my ears. “Blood! It’s blood!”

The man beside me screamed and pointed at the pool, which was gradually dyed red. I lowered my head stiffly and saw that the originally orange juice around me had turned red.

My stomach was cramping, making my face pale. I raised my head and looked at Doran by the pool in despair.

He was carefully wiping the tears of Lane in his arms, not paying any attention to the movement here.

“What the hell are you screaming about? What blood? She is pregnant. It’s impossible for her to have her period, right? And her health has always been very good. I specially invited experts from abroad to help her regulate it. It’s impossible…”

Before Doran finished speaking, his eyes were instantly dyed red by the red in the pool. I stood in the water with red water all over my body and my face became more and more pale and transparent.

Doran’s face changed immediately and he hurriedly pushed Lane away, jumped into the pool and pulled me up.

“How could it be... Callie, you told me that the child is fine, right? I clearly... why are you still standing there? Call an ambulance. If anything happens to the baby in her belly, I will let all of you be buried with her!”

The few people who were standing there in a daze heard this and hurriedly picked up their phones to make a call.

“Wait!” Lane raised her hand to stop the man and pointed to the wine bottle floating in the water.

“You must have made a mistake. How can this be blood? This is clearly the red wine you accidentally spilled in the water.”

The man holding the phone obviously knew that this was blood, but when he met Lane’s threatening eyes, he hurriedly agreed. “Yes, it’s wine. I accidentally spilled the red wine in the pool. I have a weak memory…”

Doran looked at the red wine bottle floating in the pool and threw me to the ground coldly.

The severe pain made me suddenly sober. I pulled the corner of his clothes and choked. “Child… Save our child…”

“Call an ambulance… I... My stomach hurts so much…”

My face was extremely pale due to the massive blood loss, but Doran kicked my hand away in disgust.

“Callie, what’s the fun of you doing this? Do you think I will be fooled like before? Impossible! It’s different now. Humbert is gone. Do you think anyone will protect you?”

I felt the loss of life in my belly and shed tears in despair. We had been together for five years, but it seemed like I just met him today.

Five years ago, Doran was chased to Roria City by his enemies and it was Humbert who saved him. I gradually fell in love with him during the contact and he soon proposed to me.

At that time, he firmly promised my brother that he would spoil me and love me for the rest of his life and would never let me get hurt.

But now he tortured me to miscarriage because of a glass of juice. I closed my eyes in pain and Lane squatted beside me hypocritically.

“Callie, are you okay? It’s because Doran was too worried about me. You won’t hold it against me, right? Come, I’ll help you up.”

She stretched out her hand and pressed it against my stomach. I cried out in pain and tried to push her away, but as soon as I raised my hand, she fell to the side.

“Lane!” Doran glared at me coldly and then hurriedly hugged Lane into his arms.

I watched him rub the woman’s arm with heartache and then looked at the red pool. I struggled to pick up the phone on the ground and sent a text message to my brother.

[Brother, your beloved nephew is gone and I don’t want Doran anymore.]
