He has no idea the victims he is about to dissect are his own wife and daughter.

My Husband Became the Forensic Pathologist for Me Chapter 1

On the eve of my daughter's surgery, the kidney that had been allocated to her was intercepted.

With no way to survive, I called my husband, only to find out that he was the mastermind.

Because the son of his first love also needed it.

"It's not easy for Shirley to raise her child alone. As for our daughter's kidney, I will find another solution."

My husband had been busy for Shirley and never thought of me until the police notified him to go back and handle a case.

I tried to cover my daughter's eyes.

Because the two disfigured bodies that my husband was about to dissect were me and my daughter, who died tragically in the wilderness.

"Teresa, even if you lie, the excuse should be reasonable. Robbers? Why don't you say that you are about to die?"

Jax's voice dispelled my thoughts of seeking help.

I tightly covered my daughter's mouth. My daughter was obedient, and even though her tears wet my palm, she didn't dare to make a sound.

What was the use of that?

Because the ones holding the phone at this time were the two robbers.

When I felt something was wrong, I sent a text message to Jax.

Based on his years of experience as a medical examiner, I bet he would notice the problem.

But he thought I was lying, thinking that the distress message I sent was just a lie because I was unhappy about him intercepting the kidney.

This place was too open. Not only could the sound of phone calls be heard clearly, but even our hiding place would be discovered if the two robbers were determined to find us.

Watching the robbers hang up the phone and throw it away, I just felt regret. I regretted choosing this path.

Today, when I learned that the donor of the kidney suddenly changed his mind, I immediately called Jax.

Only then did I know that he was the one who made the donor change his mind.

To get a kidney source for Shirley's son, Rayan, Jax hired a private detective, inquired about the information of the donor, and bribed him.

When I heard him excitedly saying that he did all of this, my vision went black.

Was there anything else I couldn't understand?

On the same day, at the same hospital...

Donna and Rayan matched the same kidney.

And the person who intercepted Donna's kidney was Jax.

"Go home. I'm already at home. Let's solve it at home, okay?"

After a hysterical argument, Jax said these words.

"The main road is in the rush hour now. You should take the suburban route. Although it's a bit longer, it's better than getting stuck in traffic."

Before hanging up the phone, I heard him say this.

I was in a hurry to get home, and to let Donna suffer fewer bumps, I took this suburban road.

But I didn't know until just now that Jax wasn't at home.

He just wanted to keep me, who had been in the hospital, from causing trouble for Shirley.

And now, he was in the hospital, accompanying Shirley's son for surgery.

The two robbers didn't want money, otherwise, they would have taken the money after smashing the car window and left.

I could tell this from their clothes. They didn't cover their faces, so, they had no intention of letting us survive.

They were just desperate criminals.

And what I regretted even more was...

If I had sent the distress message to the police before jumping off the car with Donna, would there be a glimmer of hope?

Because of fear, my nerves were tense, and even my hands were trembling unconsciously. The next moment, I suddenly realized that there was no sound of the two robbers moving around anymore.

"Finally found you."

With a strong impact on my head, I wanted to turn back, but it was already too late.

I lost consciousness.

Probably because of my intense will to persist, I woke up with a body full of pain, wanting to open my eyes. But I found that it was exceptionally dark.

I couldn't see.

I desperately got up, crazily wanting to find my daughter's trace, but the next second, I was kicked in the lower abdomen.

"Damn it, you're not dead yet? Don't worry about her, just destroy the kid's face!"

With each fierce blow, the pain flooded me again. Resistance was futile. I couldn't even feel the process of my consciousness becoming blurred. After vaguely hearing the words of the kidnappers, I felt that the world had quieted down.
