Maybe it was the fleeting emotions that kept me rooted in place. The pounding in my chest seemed to confirm that love could blind a person, as silly as it sounded.

"Busy again?" he asked softly.

"No, just making some alterations to my technology. You know how much I enjoy doing this, right?"

"Yeah? Why don't you tell me more about the things you love? I want to keep up with my wife's dreams."

"Wow, you always find ways to make me fall in love with you over and over again, don't you?"

Aiden chuckled and playfully kissed the tip of my nose. "Since my wife is so passionate about her dreams, why don't you start a company? I'll be your first investor, and I can persuade others to invest too."

My eyes widened at his suggestion. It had been on my mind for months, and hearing Aiden propose the idea made me eager to give it a try.
