My Alpha Rejected Me for His Fake Pregnant Luna Novel Cover

My Alpha Rejected Me for His Fake Pregnant Luna

At 10:14 on a Tuesday night, Dallas shattered our mate bond in front of two hundred wolves. For months I had held the Silverfang alliance together, negotiating every clause and settling territorial disputes through fourteen rounds of talks while he sent his regrets. Then, in the heels Lucy forced on me, I finally smiled—until my Alpha walked to the center of the great hall and chose another. His fake pregnant Luna. The bond that was mine to claim snapped before every watching wolf, and the crowd went silent. Betrayal, power, and a werewolf romance where nothing stays buried.

Chapter 3

The message came through Silas's intelligence network at dawn. I was halfway through my morning run when his Beta intercepted me at the forest edge, tablet in hand.

"Dallas is building a case," he said without preamble. "Witness statements. All signed. All claiming you attacked Rosie first and the roof collapse was your fault."

I stopped. My breath misted in the cold air. Lyra stirred, alert but not panicked.

"How many statements?"

"Seven. Kitchen staff. Two deltas. The omega who cleans the Luna suite."

I nodded slowly. My pulse was steady. This wasn't surprising. Dallas had always been good at managing narratives.

"Anyone refuse?"

The Beta hesitated. "One. A young delta named Marcus Hale. He—"

"I know Marcus." I'd trained him myself. Taught him how to hold a defensive stance when his balance was off. He'd been seventeen then, gangly and uncertain. "What happened?"

"Dallas backhanded him across the kitchen. Hard enough to break skin. The kid didn't say anything after that. But he didn't sign."

I closed my eyes briefly. Marcus had a younger sister. A mother who worked in the pack house laundry. He couldn't afford to be exiled.

"Thank you," I said quietly. "Tell Prince Silas I'll handle it."

The Beta looked like he wanted to say something else. Then he just nodded and left.

I finished my run. The heat in my bones was worse today, spreading from my spine outward. Lyra paced harder with every stride.

Back at the residence, I showered and dressed. Then I sat at the desk and opened a secure healer's channel on the tablet Silas's people had provided.

Maren answered within minutes.

"The sealed record," I said. "It still exists?"

"Hidden. Triple-sealed under healer's oath. No one can access it without Council authority."

"Good. I'm filing for tribunal review. They'll subpoena it."

Maren's face on the screen was pale. "Arielle, if Dallas finds out I helped you—"

"He won't. Not until it's too late." I leaned closer to the camera. "Maren. You did the right thing. When this is over, you'll have protection. I promise."

She nodded, but her hands were shaking.

I closed the channel and pulled up the Luna Accord documents.

The counter-filing took three hours to draft. I cited the sealed healer's record as evidence of fraudulent pregnancy claims. I invoked Luna Accord provisions regarding territorial reversion for alliances negotiated during a Luna's tenure. I listed every treaty, every territorial expansion, every diplomatic concession I'd personally brokered over seven years.

Fourteen alliances. Three expansions. Hundreds of hours of negotiation work Dallas had never attended.

All of it mine.

At the bottom, I signed: *Arielle Mills, Former Luna of the Ironclad Pack.*

No qualifier. No mention of Dallas's approval.

For the first time in seven years, my name stood alone.

I submitted the filing to the Lycan Council's tribunal system and closed the tablet.

My hands were steady.

---

That night, I couldn't sleep.

The heat in my bones had spread to my chest. My skin felt too tight. Lyra wasn't pacing anymore. She was pushing. Hard.

I sat on the floor of the residence, back against the wall, one hand pressed to my stomach. The pup was quiet. Healthy. The Lycan healers had confirmed it again that afternoon.

But something else was moving inside me. Something vast.

*"I have been waiting."*

The voice was low. Clear. Not a whisper or a pressure but a full voice, distinct from my own thoughts.

I froze.

*"Lyra?"*

*"Yes."*

I'd heard my wolf before. Felt her emotions, her instincts, her howls of pain when the bond broke. But this was different. This was conversation.

*"You've never spoken like this before,"* I said carefully.

*"I could not. They kept me from you. I am sorry for the years."*

My throat tightened. *"Who kept you from me?"*

*"Those who feared what we are. What we were always meant to be."*

I pressed my fingertips to the dead mark on my neck. The scar was cold under my touch, but the skin around it was warming.

*"What are we?"*

Lyra was silent for a moment. When she spoke again, her voice carried something ancient. Something patient.

*"Something more than what Dallas allowed you to believe. Something he could never have held, even if he had tried."*

I swallowed. *"I don't understand."*

*"You will. When the moment comes, do not be afraid of the size of it."*

*"The size of what?"*

But Lyra didn't answer. She settled back, still present but quiet, leaving me alone with the heat spreading through my chest and the key to Silas's residence glinting on the desk across the room.

I sat on the floor until dawn, one hand on my stomach, the other pressed to the scar Dallas had left behind.

Something was waking up.

And for the first time in seven years, I wasn't afraid of what it might be.
