Love Vanished, and I'm Not Looking Back
Chapter 4
When I got home in the evening, Joseph couldn't wait to ask if his phone had been fixed.
I pushed away his hand without alarming him.
"Your phone got seriously damaged by water, so why don't you use mine for now?"
Joseph pouted and reluctantly agreed, allowing me to prepare dinner before retreating to his room.
Through the closed door, I could faintly hear voices coming from inside.
"Honey, I didn't reply your messages because my phone was broken last night."
"I'm using my friend's spare phone now. My old phone may not be fixed. Can you buy me a new phone?"
"As a reward, I'll take some sexy lingerie photos of me and send them to you tonight, okay?"
Even with the help of voice-changing software, he couldn't help but muffle his voice, which sounded highly uncomfortable to me.
I didn't know what was said on the other end of the call.
But Joseph sounded excited, "Thank you, honey. You're the best, mwah!"
My heart felt a little heavy.
Joseph and I met each other in college, and we had been in a relationship for six years by then.
Yet, these six years of love paled in comparison to the money those men transferred to him.
He would rather sell out my privacy for money.
This kind of behavior showed that he never truly loved me.
During dinner, Joseph kept laughing while looking at his phone, oblivious to my unusual silence today.
After dinner, he took out a neatly packaged box.
He smirked,
"Baby, it's been a long time since we were intimate with each other.
"I bought you something sexy today. Let's try something different.
"Go get changed and let me how it looks on you!"
