Love Is Like an Abyss
Chapter 1
My sister, Grace Hunt, died on the operating table, and I lost the last family member of mine.
She was covered in wounds, died with her eyes open and filled with deep despair and pain.
However, the murderer was still teasing her at a banquet, "The lady of a noble family is much more interesting than ordinary women."
Five years later, I willingly became William Thompson, the most powerful man in his city, the most obedient and favorite socialite.

"Did he leave any marks on you?"
Caressing my fair face, William scratched through my neck and finally circled the bite mark on my collarbone with his fingers.
It was hard to probe his thoughts, yet his eyes gave away a subtle hint of jealousy.
When I noticed this emotion in William's eyes that shouldn't have appeared, I knew that my plan was about to succeed.
Meanwhile, I found his reaction hilarious since he sent me to serve that man in person last night.
Seeing me sitting on his lap, he lowered his eyes and didn't say anything. I didn't know what he was pondering.
He seemed somewhat discontented and slowly gripped my heck while staring at my face, seeing what I would do to the life threat.
He didn't release me until my cheeks started to turn red and began to groan.
I fell onto the soft carpet and immediately hugged his leg without even calming my breath, begging, "Mr. Thompson, please trust me. I didn't betray you."
"So what were you daydreaming about, Huh?" he asked.
I said, "I'm just wondering when I can become your exclusive toy. I don't want to serve other men any more."
Kneeling on the ground, I sobbed and looked into his eyes with pitiful tears. The fear and fragility on my face made me look like a doll that could only cling to him without any thoughts of its own.
My confession seemed to satisfy William as he patted my soft hair and kissed my eyes as a reward for me.
When our lips finally met, he whispered to me, "I won't give you away to anyone else as long as you behave yourself."
I lowered my eyes timidly to hide the disgust in them and tightly grasped the carpet.
William was indeed a psychopath.
He didn't care whether others liked him or not, but such a thing was never allowed on somebody he was interested in, nor did he tolerate his exclusive things being tainted by others.
After the wild sex, I endured the pain all over my body and stood up to serve William dress until he looked as elegant as before entering this room.
He was very satisfied with me tonight and said while patting my head, "Be good. I probably won't go back tonight. Have a good rest."
I rubbed his palm with my cheek, looking caring and obedient, which William loved most.
I knelt at the entrance and waited for a full half hour to make sure that he had gone far away and did not suddenly come back to check what his pet was doing before standing up with the help of the shoe cabinet.
I staggered to the bathroom.
The servant had already cleaned the bath and filled the bathtub with water before William left.
Staring at the large mirror in the bathroom, I found the bite mark on my collarbone looked more bruised.
That man left this disgusting thing on my body.
Considering William's bad mood last night, obviously, someone was going to be in big trouble.
I didn't care that the fat man who insulted me yesterday would be like under William's torture.
When lying in the bathtub, I rubbed my body harder and harder. My arms, which were already covered with bruises, turned red and looked even more horrible.
I couldn't help but think whether Grace went through all of these before.
Did she struggle alone in the endless abyss of despair and even choose to cut off all contact with me in order not to keep me out of these things...
I looked in the mirror and stared at a similar face to my sister.
For a moment, I seemed to really see her standing in front of me.
