Love is A Struggle, without Doubt or Thought

Isabelle said in a cold voice, “Care about her? Do it in your next life! I came over this time just to see when you guys are getting divorced. I just want Annette to be my daughter-in-law!”

After saying that, she pushed Annette to Chaiden’s side. She then looked at the two like appreciating a painting.

“Look at both of you, Chaiden. What a perfect match!”

Annette's body was already pressed against Chaiden's chest at this moment.

Chaiden’s mouth was refusing. But his body couldn't help but tilt towards Annette's side. On the other side, Annette also just laughed softly. She also didn't say anything. 

Looking at the three happy people in front of me, I couldn't stay any longer. “Chaiden, I'm a little tired now. You should stay with Annette and Mom here.”

I knew Chaiden must have long been immersed in Annette's tenderness. He didn't even look at me. He just answered with a double nod, which meant he agreed.

When I went upstairs and looked out from the balcony, Annette had already put her arm around Chaiden's arm.

My mother-in-law's sharp voice came in from outside, “My son, hurry up and get that woman out of the Wright Family. It’s bad luck to see her. You know that Annette's fiancé is also incompetent. See what time is suitable for the two of you to hurry up and get married.”

I listened carefully to my mother-in-law's words at this time. However, Chaiden looked at Annette with deep affection. But Annette's evasive look made Chaiden's eyes full of endless bitterness.

I didn't have the strength to look any further. I went back to bed and curled up under the covers and fell into a deep sleep.

When I woke up again, it was already dark. Dazedly, I heard Chaiden's familiar voice coming in from outside the door.

A few minutes later, I heard the door to the guest room being opened. The sound of a man and a woman having sex came out of that guest room.

My stomach began to churn uncontrollably. It was like there was a fire in my chest that had no place to go. I looked at the wall in front of me and hit my head hard.

After a moment of dizziness, I finally felt better. I turned around and looked at myself in the mirror. I then cried loudly at this time.

I just sat in the room in a daze until the early morning. Chaiden never came back to our room. Meanwhile, the guest room next door kept laughing.

When the sky gradually brightened up, the door of the room was pushed open from outside. The person who came in was not Chaiden, but Annette.

Annette looked at the disheveled me sitting on the floor. She then laughed loudly and pointed at the tip of my nose.

She said in a stern voice, “I know Maverick loved you so much, Aurelie. So what do you think? I hooked my finger and he got into my bed. What if Chaiden married you, but in your home at the same time, he slept with me?”
