Chapter 5

With over 30,000,000 dollars left after taxes, just putting it in the bank would earn over a million in interest every year.

My parents couldn't spend it all just living off the interest.

Later, I would learn some investing from my mentors, and life would be perfect.

After picking out the car, I took my parents to handle the payment.

After paying, I suddenly had a whim to buy a Benz.

So, I asked the salesperson to take me to see one.

But when I returned to the showroom, I saw two eyesores.

It was Felix and Kimora.

They were gawking at a Benz, their eyes practically shining.

Felix noticed me, paused in surprise, then sneered and walked over.

"Emma? What a surprise to see you here."

Felix was wearing a suit today, looking all proper.

"What's wrong? Did you quit your job and can't find another? Are you planning to sell cars here as a salesgirl?" He looked at my parents, his face full of disdain.

"Bringing your parents to job hunt with you, aren't you ashamed? I'm embarrassed for you."

Kimora turned up her nose and looked down on me.

Kimora also mocked in a sarcastic tone.

"Looking for a job, huh? No problem. I have a friend working as a salesperson here. If you slap yourself twice, I'll ask my friend to recommend you."

As she spoke, she turned around and complained to the salesperson beside her, who had been pulling her and giving her warning looks.

"Remember the little tramp I mentioned last night, the one clinging to my husband? That's her. Now that she sees my husband has money, she's trying every way to get some. She's so shameless."

Before I could say anything, the two salespeople following me and Kimora both frowned.

Kimora's friend pulled her aside and advised, "Stop it. She's one of Danna's clients."

Felix and Kimora were momentarily stunned.

Then, they laughed out loud, disregarding any sense of decency.

Kimora mocked further, "You say she's your client? Don't make me laugh. My husband knows how poor she is better than anyone. Forget buying any car here; she probably can't even afford a car tire."

Felix chimed in, "Kimora is right. You must have been fooled by her."

"Not everyone who walks into your store is a potential customer. Open your eyes and take a good look. Don't let beggars like her in next time."

I had just bought an SUV worth over 150,000 dollars without batting an eye.

And many salespeople witnessed it, including the friend standing beside Kimora.

I sneered.

Looking at the Benz on display, I said, "I saw you two almost popping your eyeballs out at these Benz earlier. If you can afford them, why haven't you signed the papers yet?"

Felix's face immediately showed embarrassment.

He did receive 800,000 dollars relocation compensation, but a Benz, once fully paid for, far exceeded that amount.

He simply couldn't afford it.

He stubbornly said, "I was just looking. I don't like the color of this one, so I didn't plan to buy it."

"Oh, really?" I smiled and turned to the salesperson, Danna. "Since they aren't buying it, I'll take it. Please charge my card."
