Love Finds Strength in Loneliness Chapter 1

I won 50,000,000 dollars. and I couldn't wait to find my fiancé.

I wanted to tell him that we now had the money to buy our wedding house.

But when I arrived at his place, I caught him on a blind date.

I stood there, waiting for an explanation.

He said, "Emma, my family's house was demolished, and we got 800,000 dollars and two apartments. I don't think we're right for each other anymore."

I frowned as I looked at the man before me.

This was the man I had loved for five years, the man I had decided to marry.

And now, just because of a demolition, because of 800,000 dollars and two apartments, he decided to ditch me for someone else.

I gripped my phone tightly, thinking of millions dollars in my account.

I thought about how I had looked forward to our future together, now that I had money. My mind was filled with thoughts of our happy life.

But he got money, and the first thing he did was to leave me.

How ironic.

"Felix, now that you have money, you think I'm not good enough for you?"

Five years of love, reduced to a joke.

My eyes stung, but I held back the tears.

Felix hadn't had time to respond when the girl he was on the date with suddenly laughed and asked him, "Felix, you have a girlfriend?"

He shook his head repeatedly, trying to explain to the girl.

"No, we broke up a long time ago. She's just been clinging to me like a leech."

Then he turned, his face full of anger, and shoved me hard.

I stumbled back, hitting my lower back on the corner of the table, the pain bringing tears to my eyes.

"Emma, we've already broken up. My girlfriend now is her, Kimora," he pointed at the girl, then glared at me viciously. "Stop clinging to me, or you'll make her misunderstand."

"The 3,000 dollars in dowry we gave to your family for our engagement, you don't have to return it. Consider it charity."

"Just leave, and let's not owe each other anything anymore."

Not owe each other anything?

I laughed in anger.

Wiping away my tears, I finally saw the ugly truth beneath his facade.

"Huh, 3,000 dollars in dowry? Felix, do you even have the decency to ask for that? I paid for that myself. Where do you get the nerve to claim it?"

"If we don't owe each other anything, then do me a favor and pay back the 50,000 dollars I lent you right now."

"That's nonsense. When did I ever borrow 50,000 dollars from you?"

He outright denied borrowing money from me.

I was not one to delete records; I kept every transaction.

I pulled out my phone and shoved the transfer and chat records in his face.

"Over the past five years, you've borrowed money from me every year—sometimes 5,000 dollars sometimes as little as a few hundred. The records are all here. You think you can just deny it?"
