Love Ex-husband Again? Never! Novel Cover

Love Ex-husband Again? Never!

After six years of marriage, Victoria’s anniversary is marked by her husband Elliott Wellington’s absence and a proxy-delivered bouquet of roses. Knowing she is allergic, Victoria discards the flowers and mails divorce papers to his office. The next day, Elliott returns to apologize, blaming Emily’s ignorance for the floral choice while obliviously sporting a lipstick mark. Unmoved, Victoria presents a property division contract. Enraged, Elliott tears up the agreement and storms out, only for their paths to cross again a month later.

Chapter 4

"I will make sure you never leave me until you die!"

Elliott turned around and went back to the study, closing the door heavily.

How could there be such unreasonable people?

A severe pain came from my abdomen. I felt as if all my strength was drained away. I fell on the sofa with a pale face.

Elliott didn't know that I was sick.

Just three months ago, I made an appointment with a top domestic expert for surgery. There was great hope that I could recover.

But on the day of the operation, Emily suffered from acute appendicitis.

Elliott was so distressed that he snatched my appointment and went to perform appendectomy surgery on Emily.

He didn't know how long I had been waiting in line and how important this surgery was to me.

"Elliott, you're so cruel!"

I slapped him in anger. "Do you know I'm sick? How can you be so filthy?"

At that time, all he cared about was Emily. He grabbed my wrist fiercely.

Elliott sneered.

"Victoria, stop pretending.

"You're so strong. Why are you pretending to be sick? Aren't you just jealous of Emily and want to compete with her?

"I can let you make a fuss about other things, but not this surgery!"

It was also from that time that I started thinking about divorce.

Since then, I had been waiting every day to get an appointment with a specialist, only to be told that I had to wait in line for another six months.

But the doctor said that my body couldn't wait any longer and that I had to undergo surgery within six months to have any hope of recovery.

Otherwise, if my disease was terminal, I wouldn't live much longer.

Just a few days ago, I ran into my university alumni, Adrian, by chance. He was able to make an appointment with a specialist and said he could give it to me.

"But there is one request. You have to divorce Elliott."

After some inquiries, I found out that Adrian was none other than Emily's cousin.

The reason why Adrian was so kind to help me was just to stand up for Emily.

I couldn't sleep for several nights.

Finally, I agreed to Adrian.

"Within a month, I will divorce him. Please help me."

I promised Adrian.
