Chapter 9

While waiting for Hudson to come out of his room, Abhaya leaned against the door leaf outside her room. Her favorite gun was tucked between her thighs. She's stunning and wearing a sexy black strappy plunging back bodycon fit dress. She didn't want to look like a boring bodyguard next to Hudson, so she chose a sexy dress that would allow her to move quickly if they got into another fight.

She checked her phone's timer: 15 minutes until the young doctor emerged from his room. Of course, she already knew because all she could do last night was read his background report. The information provided is basic, but at the very least she knows where he always goes, favorite bars, waking hours, and when he leaves the mansion.

As it came out, their eyes locked. Again, she couldn't tell what it was thinking. There is a barrier, and Abhaya realizes she will not be able to enter Hudson's brain right away.

"Doctor Hayes, I'll meet you downstairs." She didn't wait for the man to nod before turning around.

THEY arrived at a hospital in Quezon City safely. Everyone who sees them, especially Hudson, is clearly terrified of Hudson's aura. All she did was smile and nod in response to every greeting and nod from Hudson's staff and nurses.

"Don't do it," he warned.

"Do what?" she asked, knowing exactly what he meant.

"You understand what I mean, Ms. Trunt."

"Doctor Hayes, don't start with me. They, too, are human, just like me. Unless I'm a beast."

He stopped and looked at her without emotion in his eyes. "If you were doing it to get the attention of my male employees, keep doing it."

She sneered at him, but she didn't hit him in the face. Hudson already eat breakfast, so what is going on in this man's head? She ignored it, continuing to smile and nod to everyone.

"Hey, jerks!"

Abhaya took a look at the newcomer, who was dressed casually in jeans and a simple T-shirt, as if he were going for a walk. She was simply sitting on the sofa, artistically observing the newcomer.

"How did you know I was here?" Hudson's ask the man.

“Woah! New lady?" he asked, sitting next to her with a wink.

She was unmoved by what it did. She is skeptical that he is only her age and that he is a happy-go-lucky guy with blue eyes.

"What's your name, mademoiselle?" He asks softly, with a devil smile. It can pass the toothpaste endorser test based on his super nice smile.

"Screw you, Theon." Hudson interrupted.

"Don't be such a jerk, bro; share this fucking gorgeous mademoiselle with me." It was on its way to her cheek, but her hand grabbed it and squeezed it.

He was in a lot of pain while laughing. "Woah!"

"Stop fooling around with me, Theon-whatever!" She then let go of his hand and shifted her seat. She took up the magazine and concentrated her attention on it.

He laughed and shrugged his shoulders away from her. It crept up to Hudson and sat on the edge of its large table. "I would like to personally invite you to my fucking birthday party tomorrow evening. I'll be waiting for you!" Without a response from Hudson, he turned away. "Goodbye, sweetheart!" As she looked up, it flew a kiss at her as she just stared at it without emotion.

She dropped the magazine on the center table as the man closed the door. "Don't leave tomorrow, your life is in danger, and it's not safe for you to go out and party first," Abhaya said flatly, not as a suggestion.

"Don't come," he said, looking up and straight at her. "I don't need you as much," he said casually.

Her blood pressure rose quietly, but she tried not to tell Hudson. She gave a silly smile. "Same here. No offense intended. But you gave me access the day you hired me as a guard."

"In that case, you've been fired."

She burst out laughing. "FYI, Mrs. Hayes hired me," she said flatly, "and you're not leaving tomorrow, the conversation is over." She then picked up another magazine and began reading it.

The next night, Abhaya has a sour expression on her face. She wore a sexy backless evening red gown with a plunging neckline and a slit that added to her beauty. Her hair was in a messy bun, and she almost wanted to bury the gun that was now between her thighs in the man's head.

"There is nothing we can do, Kienne." Jackylyn said to her other line. "All we have to do is protect him on the cruise if anyone tries to harm him. Our assignment will be completed faster as a result. Don't be concerned; I've already boarded the cruise ship. I'm already ahead because it's my time to shine, sweety!" she said before laughing.

She sighed and rolled her eyes. It's her friend's game when it comes to parties. She wished she could hang her with the medal for being boisterous. She was standing in the mansion's living room when Hudson came down the stairs and was startled when he saw her. He was dumbfounded and obviously surprised by what he saw, but only for a moment before his face returned to blank expression and he went straight down.

"Stay here. I don't need anyone to—"

When she pointed the gun at it, it couldn't finish what it was saying. "Then don't mind me if I use my precious gun to you..." she said matter-of-factly, "I won't hesitate to use this gun right on your head Doctor." she scoffed arrogantly. As a result, it had no choice but to agree to take her with him wherever he was going.

That night, Abhaya was drawn to a very beautiful and elegant cruise ship. If she was questioned, such a cruise would cost billions of dollars. She wouldn't be surprised in the least. Hudson's family is not only wealthy, but fucking wealthy, so his friends too! And because of riches, these men believe every woman is like a rag because they can afford to buy them.

As they walked upstairs, she didn't let Hudson touch her waist or even her elbow. She is not mistaken; there are a lot of expensive people there, the majority of whom are in their mid-30s. The entire environment is so beautiful that it screams wealth. She took a quick look around; she wasn't here to have fun, but to keep an eye on Hudson.

She saw Jacky, dressed in a black evening gown, with a man she didn't know where Jacky found and made an entrance pass. Hudson wouldn't recognize Jacky with the extra thick make-up she'd put on.

"Hello, baby!" Someone immediately approached Hudson and kissed him.

Abhaya just stood there staring at them. She shrugged her shoulder, she doesn't care if they will sex in front of her. Tonight, her top priority is his safety above all else.

"Your beauty robbed me of my sanity, Ms. Trunt."

She shifted his gaze to the speaker. This is Zerus, the man she met the day before. She held two glasses of wine and handed one to her. She accepted it with a smile. So, why not?

"Nice to see you here, Zerus," she said as she sipped her red wine. Not too shabby. She enjoyed the flavor.

He looked at her as if he had just encountered a goddess. The woman was already clinging to Hudson's arm out of the corner of her eye. She doesn't care; she's talking to Zerus, and she'd rather talk to him than Hudson.

"I wouldn't let someone like you go if I were Doctor Hayes. He didn't realize how lovely you were now. Your beauty deserved to be crowned with love and attention."

She shook her head, "I'm drowning in your compliments," she laughed.

"Hudson was staring at you like she was going to eat you alive," Jacky's voice over the phone said, followed by a soft laugh. "Also, he went upstairs with her woman."

Her mind began to work overtime. She tenderly told Zerus that she needed to use the restroom. He simply smiled and nodded. When she met Azael and Theon on the way, she hurried to follow as Jacky told her which direction Hudson was going. She was attempting to avoid Theon when he suddenly blocked her path and winked.

"Abhaya?" Azael had been staring at her for an a while.

"I'm Kianna Trunt," she said as she quickly shook Theon's hand and walked away.

"That woman is a scumbag! It's my birthday, but she treats me like a snob!"

She heard Theon say it, but all she did was roll her eyes.

At that moment, Abhaya wanted to punch Hudson. She peered into almost every room she passed to see if anyone was lying or juggling in bed. If she actually sees Hudson, he'll get a crunchy kick out of her! It causes her undue stress. Hudson was aware that it was dangerous and that she should accompany him wherever he went.

She came to the top deck while walking and searching for it. She was taken aback and smiled slightly. Nice! There is a large swimming pool, as well as a playground and a gymnasium.

As the cold, strong sea breeze greeted her, she embraced herself. The cruise ship was far from civilization, and she had lost sight of the man's search for a moment. She was the only one present, and she felt a brief silence.

She came up to the railings and stood there. She smiled as she looked up at the many stars in the sky from where she was. For a brief moment, she closed her eyes and let the wind carry her away. She sensed silence in some way.

"What brings you here?"
