Chapter 2

Liam lowered his gaze to me. The overhead light washed over the side of his face, outlining it with a soft, hazy glow that made him look especially striking.

His nose was straight and well-defined, with the faintest hint of a natural bridge. His lips were full and flushed, and his eyes seemed to twinkle with affection in them.

To be honest, the very first time we met, I had already been deeply stunned by Liam's looks.

Among a crowd of ordinary-looking men, he stood out like a thoroughbred in a field of donkeys.

His delicate features and tall, lean frame made him so exceptional that it felt as though he existed on a completely different layer from everyone else.

I nodded slightly.

Liam hummed in response, then lowered his head and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead.

My eyes widened a little, my heartbeat skipping.

Up close, I caught the faint scent of citrus clinging to him.

He brushed a light kiss along my cheek, one hand reaching down to unzip the side of my dress.

A cool draft slipped across my waist, making me instinctively flinch.

Sensing my unease, he leaned close to my ear and soothed me in a low voice.

"Don't be afraid. I'll be gentle."

His tone was soft, yet carried a reassuring steadiness.

Under his quiet reassurance, my body slowly relaxed.

The bow at my collar and the zipper along the dress were both undone.

The fabric hung loosely from my body now, leaving far too much room for wandering hands.

A dry, warm palm slipped inside, wrapping around my waist.

He didn't rush or act carelessly—his hand merely lingered there, stroking and grazing with deliberate restraint.

My lips were captured. His tongue nudged past my teeth, slipping inside to entwine with mine.

I had very little experience with this kind of intimacy.

At this moment, the way Liam kissed me was unbearably gentle and lingering.

For a fleeting second, I even developed the illusion that we were lovers.

Compared to Josh's blunt roughness that night, Liam treated me as though I were something precious. Every step was careful, every movement guided by my reactions.

As the kiss deepened, he would occasionally pause to ask, "Does this feel okay?" or "How about this? Is it alright?"

How could I possibly withstand that kind of teasing?

My gaze had already gone unfocused, my body yielding to him without resistance.

Only after kissing me until I felt dizzy did Liam finally straighten up and let me go.

He removed my dress.

I looked at him through hazy eyes, only to realize that his expression was calm and composed. The way he looked at me was no different from how he might look at any other patient.

For reasons I couldn't explain, a trace of frustration and grievance welled up inside me. It felt as though I was the only one falling in too deep. To Liam, I was nothing more than an ordinary patient—nothing more.

I bit my lip, unable to stop my thoughts from wandering.

If only he could be as intoxicated as I was right now.

I wanted to see those beautiful eyes clouded with desire because of me. It would surely be breathtaking.

Lost in that thought, I couldn't help but begin silently evaluating myself.

My looks leaned toward the pure and delicate. I could be considered pretty. Plenty of boys had pursued me growing up.

My figure had developed well too: curves where they should be, slender where it mattered.

Only… there.

The word abnormal churned endlessly in my mind.

I'd never seen another woman's most private place.

Was mine uglier than theirs?

The thought made me lower my lashes, a wave of inferiority washing over me.

"The next step of the examination…"

Noticing my mood, Liam's voice softened. He gently pinched my cheek and asked quietly, "What's wrong? You look unhappy."

After hesitating for a moment, I finally voiced what was in my heart.

"Am I ugly down there?"

Liam frowned.

My heart sank, convinced that my fear had been confirmed.

But the next second, he said with certainty, "No. Samantha, I've never seen anyone more beautiful than you."

As soon as the words fell, Liam bent down.

He knelt at the foot of the bed, removed my high heels, and held my ankle in one hand.

Lowering his head, he pressed a careful, reverent kiss there.

My heart trembled slightly. At last, I saw a change in his eyes.

It wasn't the kind of desire I had imagined. But that look felt heavier than raw lust, far more startling. What filled his gaze now was absolute devotion.

I heard him say, "Samantha, don't underestimate your own allure."

As he spoke, his hands slid up to my calves and slowly guided them apart.

My most private place was fully exposed.

Liam lowered his gaze, his breathing hitching as fascination bloomed in his eyes.

As he leaned in, his long finger reached forward.

This sensation was completely different from that night with Josh. My entire body was relaxed.

Under Liam's gentle advances, enough desire had already been stirred within me. Rather than rejecting his intrusion, my body yearned for it.

And so, very smoothly, I accepted his finger.

Liam leaned in to kiss me again, tenderness spilling into his words.

"Take it slow. If it's too much, tell me. Don't endure it."

I breathed softly. "Mm… it doesn't hurt. I can do it."

"Good girl."

He caught my earlobe between his lips, lingering close.

"Then I'm going to add another finger now."
