Evan's mistress, Tracy Lewis, suddenly appears with an illegitimate child, boldly claiming a right to the massive family inheritance. With Evan cremated, proving paternity seems impossible—until his brother, James Morrison, steps forward to offer his own DNA. Little do they know, this seemingly generous gesture plays directly into a clever trap she has meticulously prepared.

Illegitimate Son Fights for Inheritance Chapter 1

My husband, Evan Morrison, was killed in an accident. The bimbo mistress, Tracy Lewis, showed up with her illegitimate son, demanding to inherit the estate.

I asked, "But he's turned to ash. How can you prove their blood relation?"

Evan's brother, James Morrison, volunteered. "I can take the paternity test for Evan instead."

I laughed, "I'm just waiting for you to walk right into the trap."

Evan had an accident, and by the time I got there, he was already cold.

The accident was determined to be a drunk driving case, as his blood alcohol content was over 300 ML.

Looking at the test report of the accident identification, I wished I could kill Evan's ghost again.

My son, Joshua Morrison, was preparing for the military academy he'd been dreaming of. However, according to our national laws, those whose family members involved in drunk driving are not eligible to apply.

His dream was now completely shattered.

The victim was still lying in the ICU, alive or dead, unknown.

Suddenly, Evan's phone rang.

"Hello, is this Evan Morrison? Can you tell me where you are right now?"

"Hi, this is his wife. He's already dead."

"Oh my! Dead? W.. How did he die?"

The girl was clearly unprepared for such a situation, and her words were a bit stumbling.

"Car accident."

"Ah, what should we do?"

"Do you need anything?" I asked.

"We have found that Mr. Morrison's company is involved in tax evasion. We need him to cooperate with the investigation."

I immediately felt that something bad was going to happen. He brought trouble to Joshua, and now he wanted to drag me down, too.

Soon after, his body was reduced to ashes.

I told Evan's parents and relatives that there was trouble with his company, so there was no need to come to the funeral.

Joshua was away at school, and I was planning to wait until he came back over the weekend to tell him so as not to affect his studies.

On the weekend, just as I picked up Joshua from home, the doorbell rang.

I opened the door to see a strange woman holding a child who was almost one year old.

She held up the child and said, "I'm Tracy Lewis. This is Evan's son. We've come to inherit the estate."

Looking at the woman in her twenties, I said, "Wrong door!" And then I slammed the door shut.

"Open the door. Let me in. I have a share of this house, too, so why won't you let me in?" Tracy shouted.

I made a call to security, and soon, they threw Tracy out.

After closing the door, my heart couldn't settle for a long time.

Joshua had tear stains on his face, still not having recovered from the shock.

He stared at me blankly, and I was a bit confused, thinking, "Evan, you left me a surprise package of an illegitimate son after you died. How considerate you are!"

The next day, as soon as I arrived at the company, I heard someone clamoring.

"Since he's your boss's son, I am the lady of this company. If you throw me out, I'll fire all of you."

Tracy sat in Evan's office with the child while the operations manager standing by was red with anger.

Seeing me come in, he breathed a sigh of relief and pointed at Tracy with his finger, gesturing to me, "She's got problems with her head."

Before leaving, he even kindly closed the door for me.

Tracy, with an air of being in charge, as if the company was already hers, instructed, "My son and I have come to inherit the company. This office will be mine from now on. Also, arrange a car and a driver for us to chauffeur us around."

I profoundly felt that the operations manager's gesture was right. She did indeed have issues with her head.

I thought, "A mistress like her, with an illegitimate child, dare to challenge me, the legal wife.

How could she have such courage?

If I don't give her a taste of my skill, it will be too easy for the mastermind lurking behind the scenes."

Looking at the arrogant Tracy, I asked, "You claim this child is my husband's offspring. How can you prove it?"

"Evan signed his birth certificate."

"But that doesn't prove he is Evan's son." I sat down opposite her.

"Then we'll do a paternity test," she shouted.

"Evan's already turned to ash, how can you do a test?"

"Aren't your son still here?"

"Your idea is good, but I refuse. You can leave," I said coldly.
