Chapter 2

John's mom's curse was still ringing in my ears. I looked at John, who was covered with a white cloth on the hospital bed, and suddenly clenched my fists.

I was thinking, "You are faking your death, right? I will send you to hell for real now!"

I came to my senses and rushed to the bed, shaking his body desperately!

"Hubby! Today is our sixth anniversary. You said you would stay with me forever!"

I cried and slapped him non-stop like crazy, "Wake up. I can't live without you, husband..."

As I cried, I twisted his flesh with all my might, leaving bruises and even drawing blood.

But he didn't react at all.

It seemed that he was well prepared and had been anesthetized.

The doctor next to me came over nervously to stop me, "Ma'am, I'm sorry for your loss. He has already passed away. You can't treat him so roughly!"

John's mom was so scared that she quickly came to pull me, cursing, "You bitch, don't disturb my son! Get out of here!"

But before she could pounce on me, I fell backwards and landed directly on her, knocking her to the ground!

She almost passed out, and I cried even louder, "No, I don't believe it. My husband was still alive two hours ago. How come he was dead when I woke up?!"

I was crying, and even people from the next ward came over.

I sat on the ground and slapped my thighs. "The death notice is so unclear. There must be something fishy going on! I suspect one of you murdered him. I want to perform an autopsy! I want to know the cause of death!"
