Early the next morning, Noah returned home.

He looked in a good mood and asked a servant to put Eva's favorite flowers at the entrance.

Then, the landscape painting we created together was thrown into the trash can.

The picture frame was shattered on the ground, and the glass shards hit my feet before I barely regained consciousness.

When I took a second look, I found Noah kissing someone.

When he saw me, his smile froze for a moment.

"Didn't I tell you to get out of here?"

I looked at him dumbfoundedly. I saw a hand resting on his, and its owner turned to look me in the eye from in front of him.

Eva smiled happily, looking at me like a winner.

"Long time no see, Julie."

Ever since Eva knew me, she had sweetly called me Julie.

Only I knew what kind of vicious heart she hid behind her sweet smile.

I stood awkwardly aside, watching the intimate couple.

Although I was Noah's legal wife, I looked like a maggot under Eva's dazzling smile.

Eva looked around the villa adorned like a wedding venue, her eyes sparkling.

"I've told Noah not to make any fuss, but he didn't listen."

Eva covered her mouth and smiled, revealing a pigeon-egg-like diamond ring on her ring finger.

There was a maple leaf engraved on the ring, which I saw a month ago.

It was in Noah's suit pocket.

I had thought it was the ring he would use to propose to me again.

To not spoil the surprise, I pretended not to know about it, but in fact, I was on cloud nine.

Just like Eva, I liked maple leaves too.
