Chapter 5

Jagger went out to socialize and probably secured the new project, so he had a few more drinks.

When Jagger came in, he cupped the back of my head with his hand, lowered his head, and buried it in my collarbone, the faint smell of alcohol in the air.

I whispered in his ear, and Jagger's body trembled slightly.

The next second, he pushed me against the dining table and kissed me.

My legs went weak from the kiss, and I started sliding down, so Jagger picked me up with one hand and placed me on the dining table, his hands fumbling around.

His heavy breath sprayed on my neck, and Jagger, panting, said, "Virgins can be quite skilled too."

I reached for a pillow to block him, but Jagger turned me over and pressed me onto the bed.

At that moment, my phone rang. In my fluster, I accidentally hit the answer button. Jeremy's chatter came through.

Jagger gritted his teeth and growled, "Ex-boyfriend, stop harassing my wife, get lost!"

There was silence for a few seconds on the other end, then a roar, "Emma, you shameless woman! Where are you? Who are you with?"

Before he could finish, Jagger hung up the phone.

The force beneath me suddenly intensified.

In a daze, I heard Jagger say, "You are mine."

……

All night long, Jagger tossed me several times.

The next day, I felt like my body was falling apart.

Jagger booked the tickets, saying he wanted to take me on a vacation.

I packed my bags and put on delicate makeup.

It happened to be the Water-Splashing Festival in Coraland today.

The entire street was filled with a festive atmosphere, and as people splashed water, they said, "Soak in the water, happiness for life."

Jagger held my hand as we walked from one end of the street to the other, getting drenched.

At night, we released sky lanterns. Jagger asked me what my wish was, and I said it was a secret. Jagger turned his head and said, "Stingy."
