Group Beloved: Her Path of Revenge
Chapter 4
Knowledge was the best way to change your destiny.
I studied hard in school and didn't want to get involved with the lead characters.
It was only when Jennifer purposely made trouble a few times that I had no choice but to follow the plot.
My childhood sweetheart, who I grew up with, and my brother, who used to love me, grew to favor Jennifer.
But what was that to do with me?
When I graduated, I got into a university with excellent entrance examination results.
However, the lead characters spend their days immersed in the love triangle.
A special tutoring course worth thousands of dollars didn't help them either.
I heard that the three of them were going abroad together.
Maybe they thought I couldn't affect them anymore, and Jennifer admitted that she was the female lead character.
She made a point of bragging about it in front of me.
"I know you have a crush on Zachary, but he seems to prefer me.
"What's the point of you studying better? My family applied to prestigious schools abroad for us, and it's easy for me to apply to graduate school at top universities back home.
"You seem to have a hard time applying to graduate school at home, and you'll still have a lower education background than me in the end."
Looking at Jennifer, who was condescending in front of me, I felt ridiculous.
I never studied for grades or educational background, and I thought the knowledge in my brain was worth the most.
As Jennifer was busy developing a relationship with the male lead character and the male supporting character, the difference between us was created long ago.
"You're just standing on the shoulders of the Thompson family today.
"You were born so lucky, and all I have is what I've worked hard for."
Carolyn didn't have any money to hire a tutor for me.
I would get up at five in the morning to help her stock up before going to school.
At night, after our accounting, I would be in my room upstairs.
I was grateful.
Carolyn raised me by her efforts and gave me a cozy and comfortable space to study.
I was in the sea of knowledge, temporarily forgetting the hardships of real life.
The streetlight and moonlight in front of the window formed a delightful contrast.
My four years of high school had just gone by with the lead characters bullying me over and over again.
Jennifer suddenly looked at me with a wary look in her eyes.
"Did you work hard for it? Do you want to steal from me? You are daydreaming.
"I'm the lead character, and do you want to change your destiny against all odds as a supporting character? What is not yours will never belong to you!"
She took a step back and smiled sinisterly, "Don't you love Zachary? Would you like to see him hate you forever?"
In the original story, I went crazy with jealousy and pushed Jennifer down the stairs.
I ruined my life like that.
Jennifer fell down the stairs on her back in order to slander me.
She was a lunatic
Wasn't she afraid she was going to make a fool of herself? Or would she fall and get brain-damaged?
I panicked and reached out for her.
"I stopped loving Zachary a long time ago!
"Why did you go out of your way for a man? Are you insane?"
