For His First Love, He Left Me
Chapter 3
I was gravely ill, clinging to life by a mere thread, and now I have reached the very brink of exhaustion.
Doctor Lee came to check on my physical condition, but could only shake his head and sigh.
My brother and Lily stood in front of my bed with tears streaming down their faces, apologizing continuously.
"I'm sorry...it's all our fault."
I forced a smile, tears welling up from the corners of my eyes.
"Please draft a divorce agreement for me."
There were no property division issues between us.
I spent all my savings on my previous medical treatment, and most of my accommodation and food in the past few years have been provided by Quincy.
He was right. In the past few years, my younger brother and I have been just like he said.
we were blood-suckers.
I would leave penniless this time.
The divorce agreement was only a thin page, and I solemnly signed my name on it.
When I put down the pen, Henry and Lily's eyes were red with tears again.
I tried to smile more beautifully and told them.
If my body was useless, please burn me.
And scatter my bone ashes in the sea.
It was cold underground and I would feel scared.
My parents were in the sea. Only by scattering in the sea could I reunit with them.
When I had the car accident yesterday, I had already signed the body donation agreement.
After my death, my organs would be donated to someone who can use them.
My body would become the Silent Mentor of the hospital.
This was the last contribution I could make to this world.
Henry nodded with tears in her eyes.
"Sister... I have no relatives anymore..."
I wanted to reach out and touch his face, but in the end, I couldn't lift my hand.
I was alive yesterday, but today I has bid farewell to this world.
I was so clean that I didn't need anyone to encoffin me.
Then the hospital would give my corpse special treatment and place it in the morgue.
When Quincy finally returned from vacation, all he got was a divorce agreement from me.
He was very unhappy with my sudden divorce.
As soon as he arrived at the office, he tore the divorce agreement into pieces.
He picked up his phone and called me.
There was only a busy signal on the other end of the phone.
In the form of a soul, I looked at him silently.
It turned out that people really do have souls after their death.
But why, I met him again.
I didn't answer the phone for a long time and he looked a little annoyed.
He took out his phone and called Henry.
His phone showed that he had been blacklisted.
Quincy became even more annoyed and slammed his phone on the table.
Just as he was about to make another call, Lily knocked on the office door.
Because of me, she was very dissatisfied with him.
She said calmly, "Mr. Jones, our dean wants you to give an anatomy class to the graduate students later."
"Um."
Quincy thought of something, and when Lily pushed the door open and left, he asked again, "Where is Mrs. Jones?"
She was stunned for a moment and said, "I don't know."
Quincy didn't ask any more questions and waved his hand to let her go out.
He sat down and his cell phone rang.
He was obviously proud for a moment, but when he saw "Sofia" displayed on it, he felt inexplicably disappointed.
"Hey Quincy, my new bed has arrived. When are you free to come over?"
Sofia's bed had an accident the day before yesterday, so she has a new one now.
It transpired that regardless of whether they had to test the new bed during those days, they would have spent every moment together.
"Tonight."
He set the time, and the other side laughed even more loudly.
She returned home these days and planned to stay to forward her career.
Quincy had been her constant companion, accompanying her in all her endeavors - from leasing a home, to purchasing a bed, to testing various sleeping arrangements. He never left her side.
Originally, there was an ambiguity between the two of them when they were young.
Now, how could they endure it?
So Sofia didn't care whether he had a wife or not. She asked with a sweet laugh, " Is it true that you said that day about divorcing Mrs. Jones?"
There was absolutely no beating around the bush in her words.
Her ambition was written in plain sight.
That's right. There has never been any twists and turns between them.
She can say whatever she wants to say. She is much intimate to Quincy than me, his wife.
I thought he would agree immediately.
But when he looked at the torn paper, his eyes suddenly darkened.
"Talk later."
He gave her an ambiguous answer and hung up.
"Sophia, you are extremely audacious."
He cursed at me through the phone, and then took his equipment and prepared to go to class.
I was a little nervous.
Because this time he was going to dissect my body.
